- Kim Kwanggyun has been acknowledged as a modernist and imagist poet of the 1930s. In this perspective, the general characteristics of Kim kwanggyun’s poetry can be said to present visual images and use sensual poetic words. Another characteristic of his poetry can be a sentimental mood. This kind of mood is revealed as the poetic words which are often used in his poems-such as a lamplight, candlelight, twilight and nightare imaged. The present study examined the image of light of his poems, focusing on ‘a lamplight’ among frequently used poetic words in his poems. A lamplight is a thing to brighten the dark and the poetic words such as a lamp, candlelight, a gas light, a street gas light, a bonfire and a small kerosene lamp light were also used. However, the lamplight of his poems does not just function to brighten the dark, but to represent the image of death, nihility, sorrow and descent with poetic words for color of ‘white, pale and cloudy white’ as well as to represent the one of extinction with poetic words for time of evening, night, twilight and afternoon. Besides that, opposed to darkness, the lamplight symbolizes the image of hope, and constructs the images of brightness and longing. In other words, it can be known that tangible and sensuous expressions are focused instead of abstract and ideational poetic words. The current study could examine subject matters of Kim Kwanggyun’s poems in detail and could have an effective access to inspecting internal characteristics by considering the characteristics of his poetic words and the images of a lamplight.

- 김광균은 1930년대 모더니즘과 이미지즘 시인으로 인정되어 왔다. 이러 한 관점에서 김광균 시의 일반적인 특징으로 시각적 이미지의 제시와 감각 적인 시어의 구사를 들 수 있다. 그의 시의 또 다른 특징으로는 감상적 정조 를 들 수 있다. 그의 이러한 정조는 김광균 시에 자주 등장하는 등불・촛 불・황혼・밤 등의 시어들이 그의 시 속에서 이미지화되면서 더욱 부각되고 있다. 본고에서는 그의 시에 흔히 등장하는 시어 중 ‘등불’을 중심으로 그의 시 에 나타난 불의 이미지를 고찰하였다. 등불은 어둠을 밝히는 것으로 램프・촛불・가스등・와사등・모닥불・호롱불과 같은 시어도 함께 나타나는데 그 의 시 속에 등장하는 등불은 어둠을 밝히기 위한 기능만 가지고 있는 것이 아니다. 등불은 시간을 나타내는 시어 ‘저녁, 밤, 황혼, 오후’ 등과 어울리면 서 소멸의 이미지를 나타내기도 하고, 색채를 나타내는 시어 ‘하얀, 창백한, 희부연’ 등과 함께 어울리면서 죽음, 허무, 비애, 하강의 이미지를 나타내기 도 했다. 또한 등불은 어둠과 대립하면서 희망의 이미지를 상징하기도 하고, 밝음・소망의 이미지를 구축하기도 한다. 즉, 추상적이고 관념적인 시어를 벗어나 구체적이고 감각적인 표현을 강조했음을 알 수 있었다. 본고에서 김광균 시가 갖는 시어의 특징과 등불의 이미지를 고찰함으로 써 시 작품에 내재된 주제를 좀 더 치밀하게 조명할 수 있었고, 김광균 시의 내면적 특성을 살피는 데 효과적으로 접근할 수 있었다.

- 한국문예창작학회(The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing)는 한국 문학의 새 지평을 열기 위해 문예창작 이론과 문예교육 이론을 연구 계발하여 문 예창작의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 조직한 학술단체입니다. 전국 대학과 대학원 문예창작 관련학과의 전·현직 전임교수·겸임(초빙)교수· 강 사·대학원 재학 이상자 및 문예창작인들이 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 학회의 목적에 적극적으로 동의하는 문학 관련 단체나 문학창작 동호인도 준회원으로 참 여하고 있습니다. 연 2회 학회지를 발간해 학문적 기반을 닦고 있으며, 정기적으로 학술 세미나 와 해외 문학 심포지엄 등 학술 발표회를 개최하여 학문적 교류와 토론의 장을 넓히고 있습니다. 한편으로, 문예창작 캠프·문학기행 등의 창작교육 활동과 창작 학습 행사를 수 시로 진행하면서, 창작·창작이론·창작교육에 관한 활동의 범위를 넓히고 있습니다. 별도로, 문예창작 교육을 받은 문예창작학도들의 진로 개발을 위해 '문예교육지도 교사 자격 시험'도 운영하고 있습니다. The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing is a pure academic association for the literary cretive writing, and was organized on November 11, 2001 for the purpose of presenting the new direction of literary creative writing by studying all the methods to activate and develop the theories of literary creative writing and its education. Our society is composed of professors or ex-professors, some invited professor, lecturers, graduate students of the dept. of literary creative writing as regular members, and the persons interested in our program as associative members. Our society holds an annual academic meeting-- literary symposium, literary creative writing seminar-- and publishes the journal of our society and our members' anthology of literary works. Added to these, our society has already started a new project to open the way for our literary juniors by providing them with a certificate as a leader and holding a forum for literary creative writing.
