The use of Gongche notation in traditional Taiwanese Beiguan music is widespread in modern times. In this paper, Gongche notation in Beiguan music will be compared to more familiar Gongche notation in traditional Korean music to allow easier understanding of Gongche notation in Beiguan music. In the meantime, Gongche notation in Beiguan music only functions as a blueprint, and the actual performance which corresponds to the final product may vary depending on many factors such as ability of the performer, his/her educational background, characteristics of the instrument, and additionally includes an aspect of improvisation. This paper introduces the variability of interpretation that is inherent in Gongche notation in Beiguan music in terms of the performance practices that depend on the instruments. The Gongche notation in Beiguan music as well as the comparison of the records to the actual performance are to be considered as elementary research on Gongche notation in Beiguan music and are meaningful in a sense that they provide basis for further academic research.

대만의 전통음악인 북관(北官)음악은 현재 공척보를 널리 사용한다. 북관음악에서 사용하는 공척보의 기보체제를 익숙한 한국의 공척보의 기보체제와 비교를 통해 북관음악 공척보의 이해를 돕고자 한다. 한편 북관음악의 공척보는 뼈대를 기록한 것일 뿐 살에 해당하는 실제 연주는 연주 자의 기량, 학습배경, 악기의 특성 등에 따라 다를 수 있으며 더 나아가 연주할 때 마다 달라지는 즉흥성을 내포한다. 본고는 북관음악 공척보가 지닌 해석의 가변성을 악기에 따른 연주관행의 측면에서 소개한다. 북관음악 공척보의 기보체제 및 기록과 실제 연주와의 비교는 북관음악 공척 보에 대한 기초 연구로서 학술적 연구의 토대를 마련하는 데 의의를 둔다.
