The purpose of this study is to provide a concrete plan to reduce the dating violence by expanding social competence even for college students who experienced school violence in the reality where the severity of dating violence is a social problem. In order to achieve this purpose, 15 universities in Busan metropolitan city were quota sampled. The final 318 questionnaires from the people with experience of dating violence were used for analysis and regression analysis was performed using SPSS. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, school violence experience has a static effect on the violence of dating violence. Second, experiences of school violence victimization and of school bullying have a static impact on the violence of dating violence. Third, while the claims on emotional support and discomfort, which are the subordinate variables of social competence, have a negative effect on the violence of dating violence, the claim on rights has a static effect. Fourth, while the claims on emotional support and discomfort, subordinate variables of social competence, have negative effects on the violence of dating violence, the mutual relationship initiation has a static effect. Fifth, social competence has a moderating effect on the effects of school violence experiences on the victimization of dating violence. Sixth, social competence has a moderating effect on the effects of school violence experiences on the violence of dating violence. Based on the results of this study, We suggest methods to reduce school violence and dating violence and practical and policy implications to expand social competence.

본 연구는 데이트폭력의 심각성이 사회문제로 대두되는 현실에서 학교폭력 경험이 있는 대학생이라 하더라도 사회적유능성을 확장하여 데이트폭력을 감소시키기 위한 구체적 방안을 마련하고자 시행되었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 부산광역시에 소재한 15개의 대학을 할당 표집하여 데이트폭력 경험이 있는 최종 318명의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였으며, SPSS를 활용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교폭력 가해경험은 데이트폭력 피해에 정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 학교폭력 피해경험과 가해경험은 데이트폭력 가해에 정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 사회적유능성의 하위변수인 정서적지지와 불편함에 대한 주장은 데이트폭력 피해에 부적인 영향을 미치며, 권리에 대한 주장은 정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 사회적유능성의 하위변수인 정서적지지와 불편함에 대한 주장은 데이트폭력 가해에 부적영향을 미치며, 상호관계 개시는 정적영향을 미친다. 다섯째, 학교폭력경험이 데이트폭력 피해에 미치는 영향에서 사회적유능성은 조절효과를 가진다. 여섯째, 학교폭력경험이 데이트폭력 가해에 미치는 영향에서 사회적유능성은 조절효과를 가진다. 이러한 연구결과를 기반으로 학교폭력과 데이트폭력을 줄이기 위한 방안과 사회적유능성을 확장하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
