The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state of childhood dance instructor training programs and find improvement plans. For achieving this purpose, literature for systematic teaching methods of childhood dance instructor programs and qualitative improvement was considered and an expert meeting with childhood dance instructors and dance education experts was conducted. Based on the study finding, an expert consultation program was added to childhood dance instructor programs to provide opportunities for instructors to have identity and belief by themselves. Also, equal grades of theoretical, practical and oral examinations were set so instructors could improve psychological, emotional and physical developmental understanding of children using theories and practical experience and their belief as childhood teachers in the oral examination was identified. In addition, discussion and questioning of a seminar was introduced to promote more aggressive thinking and responses. But there will be a need to apply more professional design structures, such as sequence, continuity, integrity and connectivity to development of instructor programs. This study is limited to those, who are engaged in dance or child care.

본 연구의 목적은 유아무용 지도자 프로그램 현황을 분석하고 개선 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌고찰및 유아무용 지도자, 무용교육 지도자를 대상으로 전문가회의를 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 유아무용 지도자 프로그램 현황을 살펴보면 응시자격, 연수시간, 연수기관, 연수 프로그램이 각 기관에 따라 기준과 적용이 다른 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 유아무용 지도자로서의 신념과 지식 등을 갖출 수 있고, 현장과 연계되는 프로그램의 개발이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이에 대한 개선 방안으로 유아의 심리와 발육상태 이해를 위한 프로그램, 교사신념과 정체성을 높이기 위한 프로그램, 창의적 교육을 위한 프로그램으로 유아무용 지도자 프로그램 구성의방향성을 제안하였으며 이를 토대로 유아무용 지도자 양성 프로그램의 구성(안)을 제시하였다. 결론적으로 유아무용 지도자 프로그램은 계열성, 계속성, 통합성, 연계성 등의 보다 구체적인 설계구조를 적용시켜 전문성을 확보하여 나가야 할 것이다.
