In Fall, 2013, the author taught students how to evaluate the fair stock price and the default probability of a corporation through classes titled “Financial Markets and Investment Analysis(English, Korean)” offered by the School of Economics and Finance, OO University. And then, the author made the students write corporate analyst reports based on the course materials after actually visiting small-and-medium-sized enterprises as teams. To find out how the students’ career development competency and perception on working for small-and-medium-sized enterprises changed through such activities, the author surveyed the students through two identical questionnaires, one of which in the beginning and the other of which at the end of the semester. Empirical analyses on the questionnaires reveal that some students showed enhancement in career development competency over the semester, that all the students’ negative perception on small-and-medium-sized enterprises favorably changed during the semester, and that their preference to job positions in small-and-medium-sized enterprises also generally increased through the semester. However, the self-perception on their job-acquiring capability for small-and-medium-sized enterprises didn’t change during the semester. Such affirmative changes seem mainly due to those of the male students and the female students didn’t usually show any statistically significant changes during the semester.

2013년 2학기에 OO대학교 경제금융학부에서 개설된 “금융시장과 투자분석(영어, 국어)”의 강의를 통해 학생들에게 기업의 적정주가와 부도확률을 산정하는 방법을 가르쳐 주었다. 그리고 학생들이 팀을 짜서 실제 중소기업을 방문한 후 수업내용과 탐방내용을 바탕으로 기업분석보고서를 작성하도록 하였다. 이를 통해 학생들의 경력개발역량변화와 중소기업취업에 대한 인식변화를 살펴보고자 학기초와 학기말에 각각 동일한 설문을 시행하였다. 설문을 분석한 결과, 해당 수업을 통해서 한 학기 동안 일부 학생들의 경력개발역량이 향상되었고, 중소기업에 대한 전체 학생들의 부정적인 인식이 호의적으로 바뀌었으며, 중소기업취업에 대한 호감도 또한 전반적으로 늘어난 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 중소기업취업을 위한 본인의 취업역량에 대한 인식은 한 학기 동안 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 긍정적인 변화는 주로 남학생들의 변화에 기인하는 것으로, 여학생들의 경우에는 한 학기 동안 별다른 유의한 변화를 보이지 않아 아쉬움을 남겼다.
