This study examines Akutagawa’s embedment of distrust in women through Yabunonaka’s female main character’s (Masago) view; furthermore, it analyzes how the relationship with Masago played a role in the death of her husband Takehiro. In one aspect, it may be stated that this piece of literary work portrays Yabunonaka’s retaliation and strength against men’s unfairness. However, in this piece of work, one can get a glimpse of an exclusion of women’s physical abuse by men. In this respect, it can be said that the author’s male perspective view has been revealed. Right before Yabunonaka’s writing, it can be concluded that the meeting and the break up with Hide Sigeko had an affect in this revelation. Also, as the piling of Sigeko and Masago’s images occurred, Akutagaw’s embedment of distrust in women played a big role. Not only that, pertaining to the cause of Takehiro’s death, the foreshadowing of the killer being a woman is evident by the use of a dagger as a means of killing, Masago’s spiritual-energy filled action and through Takehiro’s self-harm relevant to the portrayal of characters. This act associated Masago as the prime assailant. Even the dagger which was supposedly used for this falsify suicide, made it seemed like Masago was heavily involved. Finally, the findings suggest that Akutagaw’s embedment of distrust in women was a contributing factor that served as basis for establishing Masago as the murderer in Takehiro’s death.

본 연구는 『야부노나카』의 여주인공 마사고를 통해 바라보는 아쿠타가와의 여성불신적 사고에 대해 검토하고, 나아가 남편 다케히로의 죽음에 영향을 미친 마사고와의 영향관계에 대해 분석한다. 『야부노나카』는 한편으로 남자의 부당함과 맞서는 여성의 보복과 강함을 묘사한 작품이라고도 할 수 있을지 모른다. 하지만 남성에 의한 여성에 대한 폭력적 배제를 엿볼 수 있는 작품이다. 그러한 점에서 작가 아쿠타가와의 남성으로서의 시선이 드러나 있다고 생각한다. 거기에는 『야부노나카』집필 직전 히데 시게코와의 만남과 이별이 작용한 것으로 판단되며, 시게코와 마사고의 이미지가 중첩되면서 아쿠타가와의 여성불신적 인식도 크게 작용한 것으로 추론된다. 또한 다케히로의 죽음의 원인과 관련해서 마사고의 기센 기질적 행동과 죽음의 수단으로서 단도를 사용한 점, 다케히로의 자해장면과 관련한 인물묘사를 통해, 결국 범인은 여성일 것이라는 복선을 깔고 있다. 이것은 다케히로의 죽음의 최종 가해자로서 마사고를 연상시키는 것이다. 즉 다케히로 스스로가 죽음을 선택한 듯 보이는 다케히로 단락에서 조차도, 그의 죽음에 마사고가 깊이 관련된 것으로 보이며, 결국 아쿠타카와의 여성불신적 인식이 다케히로의 죽음의 원인제공자로 마사고를 설정하는 계기로 작용한 것으로 검토된다.
