This study is to grasp the influences of educational aspirations of elementary school parents on domestic family trips. These are the results. First, analyzing the pattern of domestic family trips, individual free trips were the most common. The number of trips was one to three times, for a duration of one night, and the sources of information were portal sites and the community. Second, the educational aspirations of parents were classified under two factors, essential educational aspirations and instrumental educational aspirations. The experiences of domestic family trips were classified under four factors, educational, aesthetic, deviant and entertainment-related. Third, to verify the hypothesis about the essential educational aspirations of parents and the experiences of domestic family trips, regression analysis was undertaken. Essential educational aspirations were analyzed to have positive influences on educational, aesthetic, deviant and entertainment-related experiences. Fourth, instrumental educational aspirations were analyzed to have positive influences on deviant and entertainment-related experiences. This study has academic significance examining theoretical structures between the educational aspiration of parents and the experiences of domestic family trips.

본 연구는 학부모의 교육열이 국내가족여행의 체험에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 초등학교 고학년의 부모를 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 실증 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내가족여행의 행태를 분석해 보면, 개별자유여행이 가장 많았으며, 여행 횟수는 1-3회, 여행 기간은 1박 2일, 정보원천은 포털 사이트/커뮤니티를 많이 활용한 것으로 파악되었다. 둘째, 부모의 교육열은 본질적 교육열과 수단적 교육열로 분류되었으며, 국내가족여행의 체험은 교육적 체험, 심미적 체험, 일탈적 체험, 그리고 오락관계적 체험의 4개 요인으로 적재되었다. 셋째, 부모의 본질적 교육열과 국내가족여행의 체험에 관한 가설을 검증하기 위하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본질적 교육열은 교육적 체험, 심미적 체험, 일탈적 체험, 그리고 오락관계적 체험에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 수단적 교육열은 일탈적 체험과 오락관계적 체험에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 자녀에 대한 부모의 교육열과 국내가족여행의 체험 활동 간의 이론적 구조 관계를 파악하였다는 점에서 학문적 의미가 있을 것이다.
