This article analyzes a missiological reflection on the subject of conversion and transformation from an evangelical perspective. For effective missionary work, today Korean church needs a biblical missiology of conversion and transformation. During modern times, ecumenical churches and evangelical churches have discussed that subject on the conversion and transformation. The ecumenical line has focused a social service and justice as mission tasks in the name of Missio dei, but the evangelical line has tried a subject on the conversion of souls through missionary works. The writer studied major mission trends of modern evangelical missiologists during 20th century, and discussed missiological matters on the conversion and transformation such as J. H.Bavinck, J. I. Packer, J. Verkuyl, Jonathan Edwards. And the writer also tried to provide a biblical definition and meaning of true conversion and transformation. And he also suggested a missiolocal idea on conversion and transformation in the Lausanne Mission Movement through Lausanne I (1974), Lausanne II (1989), Lausanne III (2010). The Lausanne movement has a strong missionary movement on the biblical concepts of conversion and transformation for evangelical and biblical missiology since its beginning. For the solution of her church problems and effective missionary works, Korean Church needs a biblical missiology on the conversion and transformation. In Seoul Korea, the 14th IAMS(The International Association for Mission Studies) has discussed the topic of "the conversion and transformation: missiological approaches to religious change." That conference concluded that Korean church needs social transformation as well as personal conversion for today. For 21st century effective missionary works(Mt.4:17; Mk16:15; Rom10:14-15), Korean church needs evangelical and biblical doctrines on the conversion and transformation as a main missiological tasks. The writer insisted that modern church should focus on a missiological study on the conversion and transformation through a strong biblical mission theology.

본 논문은 선교학적 관점에서 살펴본 회심과 변혁에 관한 것으로써, 회심과 변혁에 중점을 둔 복음주의 선교신학의 중요성을 제시하는 논문이다. 현대교회 선교학의 동향 속에 나타난 에큐메니칼과 복음주의자 사이에 일어난 회심과 변혁의 선교관은 한 세기를 통해 풍성하게 나타났다. 에큐메니칼 쪽에서 선교의 정의는 주로 사회정의와 구제에 중점을 두는 미시오 데이(Missio Dei)를 강조한 반면에, 복음주의 선교학은 성경에 철저한 회심과 변혁의 사역에 중점을 두고 진행되었다. 저자는 그동안에 이루어진 이러한 선교학적 동향을 살피고 현대 주요 복음적인 선교학자들의 선교이론과 선교의 정의를 분석하며 회심과 변혁의 선교를 살펴보았으며, 화란의 J. H. Bavinck, J. I. Packer, J. Verkuyl, Jonathan Edwards의 선교에서 회심의 의미를 살펴보았다. 그리고 무엇보다 성경의 텍스트에서 나타난참된 회심과 변혁의 정의와 그 의미들을 정립함으로 선교학의 주제인 회심과 변혁의 선교학을 정립할 필요성을 추구하였다. 그리고 로잔선교운동(Lausanne I 1974, Lausanne II 1989, Lausanne III 2010)과 로잔언약은 회심과변혁의 선교신학을 강조하고 있으며, 지난 70년대에 일어난 급진적인 선교사상에 대한 비판과 함께 회심과 변혁의 성경적 선교신학에 충실한 교본으로 나타나게 되었다. 오늘 한국교회의 문제와 정체된 교회성장과 선교사역을 회복함에 있어서 성경적 회심과 변혁의 복음에 대한 온전한 헌신과 연구의 중요성을 깨닫게 된다. 한국에서 개최된 세계선교학회(IAMS)의 주제로서 “회심과 변혁: 종교적 변화에 대한 선교학적 접근”을 논의하면서, 문제점으로 개인적회심만 강조하고 그로 말미암아 일어날 어떤 사회적 변혁을 이끌어내지 못하는 안타까운 현실 교회를 지적하였다. 21세기 한국교회의 선교 역량을 집대성하고 지속가능한 선교사역을 위해서 그동안 추구하였던 복음적이고 성경적 선교인 회심과 변혁의 사역을 지향하여 실천함이 필요하다. 영혼을 구원하고 하나님나라를 확장하는선교와 교회를 개척하고 설립하여 성장케 하는(마 4:17; 막 16:15) 아름다운선교사역을 위하여(롬 10:14-15), 오늘의 선교신학은 영혼의 회심과 변혁을중심하는 선교로 나아가야 할 것이다. 그리고 온전한 회심과 구원의 역사를 위한 선교신학은 성경 중심적인 선교신학의 정립이 우선이다
