This study had divided the participants into the group of criminals offense and the group of special law offense by a standard of the juvenile law of Korea and receipted of MMPI-A profiles from both of the groups to study about psychological traits of adolescent offenders in Daegu district. Summary of the result, as the first, validity scales hasn`t shown the meaningful differences but F2 and also there has shown the high validity scales less then 60T. The second, clinical scales of between two groups has shown meaningful differences from each part of the scales as antisociality, paranoia, hysteria, schizophrenia, hypochondriacal symptoms, obsessive-compulsive neurosis, hypo-manic episodes and depression. The third, content scales of between two groups has shown meaningful differences from each part of the scales as anxiety, obsessive-compulsive neurosis, depression, hypochondriacal symptoms, alienation, others psychological states, sardonicism, low level of self-esteem, family problems, school problems and negative indices of therapy. The forth, supplementary scales of between two groups has shown meaningful differences from each part of the scales as recognition of drug and alcohol abuse, immature and anxiety. The fifth, PSY-5 scales of between two groups has shown meaningful differences from each part of the scales as psychosis and negative emotionality. This study have shown the group of criminals offense has had psychological problems from both of organic and environnemental sides and the serious trend of crimes.

본 연구는 대구지역 범죄 청소년의 심리적 특성을 알아보기 위해 처벌 법규에 의해 형법범 집단과 특별법범 집단으로 나누어 MMPI-A 프로파일을 비교해보았다. 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 타당도 척도는 F2척도를 제외한 다른 척도에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 60T이하로 검사의 타당도가 높음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 임상척도에서 두 집단간 반사회성, 편집증, 히스테리, 조현병, 건강염려증, 강박증, 경조증, 우울증척도에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 내용척도에서 두 집단 간 불안 척도, 강박성 척도, 우울 척도, 건강염려 척도, 소외 척도, 기태적 정신상태 척도, 냉소적 태도 척도, 낮은 자존감 척도, 가정문제 척도, 학교문제 척도, 부정적 치료지표 척도에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 보충척도에서 두 집단 간 알코올/약물문제인정, 미성숙, 불안척도에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 다섯째, 성격병리 5요인 척도에서는 두 집단 간 정신증 척도, 부정적정서성 척도에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이 결과에 따르면 형법범 집단은 성격적인 면과 기질적인 면, 환경적인 면에서 더 많은 심리적 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 더 심각한 형태의 범죄의 양상을 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
