The purpose of this study is to find out, from a socioecological perspective, the health condition of the local residents by region, and identify its relation to the socioeconomic factors and its effects. To do so, the study selected indexes that represent economic and social situations of various regions provided by the National Statistics Portal (KOSIS) of the National Statistics Office and the raw data of regional community health survey in 2014. Also, it used residents’ disease contraction for physical health, depression for their mental health, and their subjective health condition as dependent variables to measure the health condition of individuals. Analysis method is used a useful hierarchical (multiple layer) analysis model when the unit of independent variables are hierarchical. The results showed that all socioeconomic factors such as each region’s jobs, living economic condition, regional economic level, healthcare, disaster safety, and death risk environment influence individual residents’ disease contraction and depression and subjective health. This implies that a region should actively make practical policy efforts to improve the health of residents instead of regarding local residents’ health as an individual responsibility.

본 연구는 사회생태학적 관점에서 지역별 지역주민의 건강수준을 알아보고 사회경제적 요인 과의 상호관련성 및 영향요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2014년도 지역사회건강조사 원 자료와 통계청의 국가통계포털(KOSIS)에서 제공하는 다양한 지역의 경제적, 사회적 상황을 대 리하는 지표들을 선별하여 활용하였다. 그리고 개인들의 건강상태를 측정하기 위한 변인으로 서 신체적 건강은 이환여부, 정신건강은 우울감 여부, 주관적 건강상태를 종속변수로 사용하였 다. 분석방법은 독립변수들의 단위가 위계적일 때 유용한 위계적(다층)분석 모형을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 지역의 일자리, 생활경제 상태와 지역경제 수준, 보건과 재해안전 및 사망위험 환경 등 제반 사회경제적 요인들이 주민 개인들의 이환과 우울 및 주관적 건강에 다양하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 지역주민들의 건강을 개인적 책임으로만 치부하기보다 지역 사회가 적극적으로 주민들의 건강증진을 위해 실천적 정책적 노력을 강구해야함을 시사한다.
