The purpose of this study is to compare the relative effectiveness of micro-macro models on the fear of crime. In order to achieve the goal, this study included the following variables as the independent variable : 'physical disorders' variable and 'social disorder' variable of disorders model, 'exposure to crime' variable of lifestyle exposes model, 'recognition of the crime' variable of risk analysis model. Specifically to verify the influence of fear of crime comprehensively, this study considered the lifestyle exposes model and risk analysis model that didn't often addressed in previous research. This study utilized secondary data of the National Crime Victimization Survey 2012, conducted by the Korean Institute of Criminology, and analyzed with a total of four multiple regression models. As the result, it appeared that recognition of the crime variable of risk analysis has the highest impact on the fear of crime, then, the next was control variables, disordered model, lifestyle exposes models in order of higher impact. However, this study has the following limitation. First, due to utilization secondary data, some models on the fear of the crime did not be considered. Second, only one variable were used in the process of analyzing particular model.

이 연구의 목적은 범죄두려움에 미치는 미시적·거시적 설명모형들의 상대적 영향력을 설명력을 중심으로 비교하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 무질서모형 중 물리적 무질서와 사회적 무질서, 생활양식노출모형 중 범죄에의 노출, 위험해석모형 중 범죄 위험의 인지 등을 독립변인으로 포함하였으며, 특히 기존의 연구들이 미미했던 생활양식노출모형과 위험해석모형 등을 포함하여 보다 구체적으로 범죄두려움에 미치는 영향력을 검증하고자 한다. 이 연구에 사용된 자료는 형사정책연구원(2012)에서 실시한 ‘전국범죄피해조사’의 2차 자료를 활용하였으며, 총 4번의 다중회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과, 위험해석모형에서 제시된 범죄 위험의 인지가 범죄두려움에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있으며, 통제변인, 무질서모형, 생활양식노출모형 순이었다. 그러나 2차 자료의 활용으로 인해 더욱 많은 모형들을 포함하지 못하고 특정 모형에서 하나의 변인으로만 접근한 점에서는 한계를 지닌다.
