In 2012, the movement #Yosoy132 started during the presidential election campaign of Mexico. Social networks like twitter played a leading role in the emergence and development of the movement. This article analyzes the relationship among the presidential election, twitter, and the movement #Yosoy132. Throughout the presidential election campaign, the movement functioned as a principal actor along with the major candidates such as Enrique Peña Nieto and LopezObrador. This article notes that themovement # Yosoy132 encouraged three presidential candidates to getmore actively engaged in social networks, which can be confirmed in their increased Twitter accounts. But the movement left contrasting impacts on each candidate’s performances. While it affected negatively Enrique Peña Nieto’s campaign, its impact on his rival, Lopez Obrador was a positive one.

#Yosoy132 운동은 2012년 멕시코 대선캠페인 기간에 출현했다. 트위터 같은 소셜 네트워크는 이 운동의 등장과 발전과정에서 탁월한 역할을 수행했다. 본 논문은 2012년 대선과 트위터, 그리고 #Yosoy132 운동과의 상관성에 대해 분석한다. 대선기간 이 운동은 페냐 니에토나로페스 오브라도르와 같은 대선후보와 함께 중요한 정치적 행위자 중 하나였다. 이 논문은#Yosoy132 운동의 등장으로 인해 세 명의 주요 대선후보의 트위터 상의 활동이 급격히 증가했다는 점을 주목한다. 그러나 이 운동은 각각의 후보들에게 다른 결과와 영향을 미쳤다. 엔리케페냐 니에토의 대선과정에는 부정적으로 작용한 반면, 그의 경쟁자인 로페스 오브라도르에게는 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
