The purpose of this study was to identify the differences among academic achievement of university admission, adaptability of college life, and career preparation. For this study, the longitudinal resources of grades for the applicants of D university in the class of 2014 and the resources of grades were used in the 1st and the 2nd semester in 2014 and the 1st semester in 2015. A total of 427 students admitted by comprehensive test and 1,549 students admitted by ordinary admissions (occasional admission and regular admission) were interviewed to identify the differences in academic accomplishment, adaptability of college life and careers preparation. Results showed that the average GPA of the students admitted by occasional admission was higher than that of students admitted by comprehensive test, and that average GPA of the students admitted by occasional admission was higher than that of students admitted by comprehensive test from their sophomore year. In addition, when confirming the differences in adaptability of college life and career level between the admission types, no specific differences in the behaviors for careers and the level of career maturity were found. However, in the aspect of class attitude, students admitted by comprehensive test had higher grades than students admitted by ordinary admissions. Separate follow up services are recommended to improve the academic achievement of the students admitted by comprehensive tests. Future research for applicants by types of admission needs to be analyzed more thoroughly considering the college that applicants involved and the individual backgrounds of applicants.

이 연구는 대학입학전형별 입학생의 학업성취, 대학생활적응도, 진로의식, 진로준비행동 등에 차이 가 있는 지를 확인하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 D대학교의 2014년도 입학생들의 입학전형별 2014-1학기, 2014-2학기, 2015-1학기의 종단적 성적자료와 2015학년도 학생부종합전형으로 입학 한 427명의 학생과 일반 전형(수시 입학전형과 정시 입학전형)으로 입학한 1,549명의 설문응답을 이 용해 학업성취, 학교생활적응과 진로수준에 차이가 있는지 확인하였다. 분석 결과, 수시 입학전형으로 입학한 학생들의 학점 평균은 학생부종합전형으로 입학한 학생들의 학점 평균보다 높은 것으로 나타 났으며, 정시 입학전형으로 입학한 학생들의 학점 평균은 2학년이 되는 시점에서 학생부종합전형 입 학생보다 높은 성적을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 입학전형간에 대학생활 적응과 진로수준에 차이 가 있는지 확인한 결과, 학생부종합전형과 일반 전형 학생의 진로준비행동과 진로성숙도 수준은 차이 가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 반면에 수업 태도에 있어서는 학생부종합전형 입학생들이 일반 전형 입학 생들에 비해 점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학생부종합전형 입학생들의 학업성취 향상을 위해 별도의 추수지도를 진행할 필요가 있으며, 향후 대학입학전형별 입학생을 대상으로 진행될 연구는 소속단과대 학, 입학생의 개인배경 등을 종합적으로 고려해 분석할 필요가 있다.
