This study is intended to reconsider the poems of Lee-Sang as the text materials for high school literature textbooks through the revised curriculum revision of 2015. The authors of the literature textbook have been trying to select the appropriate poems for the textbook. Throughout this process, some poems selected for textbooks have come into the spotlight, while some poems have disappeared from the textbook. The three poems of Lee- Sang, 「Ogamdo」, 「the Mirror」and 「the Home」, were selected for the literature textbook more than once from the 4th Educational Curriculum Revision, when such literature has become an advanced optional subject, to the 2011 curriculum revision. Among the three works, 「the Mirror」 has been constantly chosen in the textbook. Since the curriculum revision in 2011, however, we have been unable to find any poems of Lee-Sang in the textbooks. A key change of the curriculum revision in 2011 is ‘the creative literature capability’ and ‘the communication with the community.’ ‘The creative acceptance and production,’ which had been emphasized since the 2009 curriculum revision, has developed into ‘training creative and well-rounded individuals’ with humanistic imagination and technologic creativity in the curriculum revision of 2015. In addition, how to appreciate poetry was previously limited to self-reflection. However, it has been expanded to the scope of ‘understanding others and communication’ and emphasis on the aspect of sharing critical ideas with communities since 2011. In the poems of Lee-Sang, the experimental elements from his personal experiences and his insight into the era are projected through the unique creative techniques. The imagination shown in the poems can be linked to the learner’s imagination and serve the foundation for thinking and expressing creative ideas. And it is meaningful to change self-anxiety based on the personal experiences into the delicate poetical languages because the learners can understand not only the beauty of literature but also other people, thereby developing their capabilities to communicate with the era. These educational effects coincide with the objective of literature education, and serve as the foundation to reconsider the beneficial aspects of the poetry of Lee-Sang in literature education.

본 연구는 고등학교 문학교과서 텍스트로서 이상 시를 문학교육과정의변화에 맞춰 재고(再考)하는 것을 목표로 한다. 문학교과서는 교육과정에 적합한 작품들을 선정하기 위해 때마다 많은노력을 기울여 왔다. 그 과정에서 그동안 각광받지 못하다가 수면 위로 드러난 작품이 있는가 하면, 교과서에 수록되었다가 사라진 작품도 있다. 이상의 시 「거울」, 「오감도–시 제1호」, 「가정」은 문학이 심화선택과목으로 분리되기 시작한 4차 교육과정부터 2009개정 교육과정까지 1회 이상 검정 문학교과서에 수록되었다. 그중에서도 「거울」은 꾸준히 수록되었던 시다. 그러나 2011개정 교육과정 적용 이후 이들 시를 수록한 문학교과서를 전혀 찾아볼 수 없게 되었다. 2019년도부터 적용될 2015개정 문학 교육과정의 핵심은 ‘창의적인 문학능력’과 ‘공동체와의 소통’이다. 2009개정 교육과정부터 강조하기 시작한문학의 ‘창의적 수용과 생산’은 2015개정 교육과정에 와서 인문학적 상상력과 과학기술 창조력을 갖춘 ‘창의융합형 인재 양성’으로까지 발전하였다. 여기에 ‘자아 성찰’에 한정되어 있던 문학 감상태도를 2011개정 교육과정에서 ‘타인에 대한 이해와 소통’으로 확대해 우리 사회의 공동체와 문제의식을 공유할 것을 2015개정 교육과정에서도 거듭 강조하였다. 이상의 시는 개인적 체험 및 시대적 통찰에서 온 경험 요소들이 독창적창작기법을 통해 형상화되어 있다. 시에 나타나는 상상력은 학습자의 상상력으로 이어져 창의적으로 사고하고 표현하는 능력의 토대가 될 수 있다. 그리고 경험에서 비롯된 자기 불안이 정교한 시적 언어로 가공된 점은, 학습자가 문학의 아름다움뿐만 아니라 작가의 삶을 이해하고 시대와 소통하는 자세를 가지게 할 수 있다. 이러한 교육적 효과들은 문학교육이 나아가고자 하는 방향과 맞닿아 있다는 점에서 이상 시의 문학교육적 효용성을 재검토하는 밑거름이 될 것이다.
