- Korean literature in the 2000s has a dynamic reflection of the changes in the transnational age. Typical examples include novels fictionalizing women of foreign nationality marrying Korean men.This paper is based on the perspective that these novels offerthe most detailed pieces of literature in understanding transnationalism of the new millennium. The ‘marriage-transplanted women’ are coined with irony from the beginning. The core of the irony is that their marriages are most often in the form of Korean men purchasing foreign women and moreover, that the Korean men are usually those in low socioeconomic or health status in the Korean society. The process of settling in aforementioned circumstances is inevitably accompanied by dissension. This paper attempts to explain the process of the marriage-transplanted women settling in Korea after being transacted for their international marriages. The evaluation is based on three stages, via the lives of fictional characters– firstly, the irony of their marriages inherent in their background; secondly, the types and forms of discord within their settlement; and lastly, the acculturation shown by these women as they settle. Factual data on the real lives of marriage-transplanted women and J. W. Berry’s theorem on ‘acculturation’ have been referenced in this paper. Marriage-transplant women are an intensive exemplification of the irony in transnational societies and the process of acculturation in them. Literature bears significance in that it acts as a mirror that solidifies the contemporary times. This paper aims to prove it, and ascertain its value.

- 2000년대 한국문학은 트랜스내셔널 시대의 변화 양상을 다채롭게 반영해 왔다. 결혼이주여성의 삶을 형상화한 20편 가까운 소설작품이 그 대표적인 사례다. 이 논문은 이들 소설이 2000년대 시대정신으로서의 트랜스내셔널리즘을 이해하는 가장 구체적인 문학적 형상이라는 관점을 토대로 논의를 진행한다. 1990년대 이후 한국사회의 결혼이주여성은 그 출발 과정에서부터 많은 모순을 안는다. 그들의 결혼이 대개 한국남성이 외국여성을 구매하는 형식의 매매혼이라는 점은 그 모순의 핵심 요소다. 또한 결혼 당사자인 남성이한국사회에서 열악한 인신(人身) 상태에 놓인 신분이라는 점도 큰 문제다. 이러한 모순을 내재한 결혼이주여성의 국내 정주 과정은 거의 예외 없이 상당한 갈등을 수반한다. 이 논문은 결혼이주여성이 외국에서 국제결혼으로 국내에 유입돼 한국사회에 정주하는 과정을 소설작품에 나타나는 인물의 작중현실을 통해 세 가지 단계로 나누어 설명하고 있다. 첫째는 결혼이주여성의 이주 배경에서 내재되는 모순 내용, 둘째는 그들의 정착 과정에서 나타나는 갈등의 유형과양상, 셋째는 정착 과정에서 그들이 보이는 문화변용의 단계 등이 설명된다. 논의하는 동안 결혼이주여성의 실상을 증명하는 실제 자료와 이주민들이주류사회의 문화에 적응하는 양상 즉 ‘문화변용(acculturation)’에 대한 베리(J.W,Berry)의 이론 등이 활용되었다. 한국사회에서 결혼이주여성은 트랜스내셔널 사회의 모순 상황과 그 문화변용 과정을 집약적으로 보여주는 대표적인 존재다. 문학은 동시대의 거울이라는 점에서 그들의 삶을 형상화한 소설작품이 가지는 의미는 크다. 이논문은 그 의미를 실증적으로 증명하는 한편으로 그것의 진정성을 확인하는 작업이다.

- 한국문예창작학회(The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing)는 한국 문학의 새 지평을 열기 위해 문예창작 이론과 문예교육 이론을 연구 계발하여 문 예창작의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 조직한 학술단체입니다. 전국 대학과 대학원 문예창작 관련학과의 전·현직 전임교수·겸임(초빙)교수· 강 사·대학원 재학 이상자 및 문예창작인들이 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 학회의 목적에 적극적으로 동의하는 문학 관련 단체나 문학창작 동호인도 준회원으로 참 여하고 있습니다. 연 2회 학회지를 발간해 학문적 기반을 닦고 있으며, 정기적으로 학술 세미나 와 해외 문학 심포지엄 등 학술 발표회를 개최하여 학문적 교류와 토론의 장을 넓히고 있습니다. 한편으로, 문예창작 캠프·문학기행 등의 창작교육 활동과 창작 학습 행사를 수 시로 진행하면서, 창작·창작이론·창작교육에 관한 활동의 범위를 넓히고 있습니다. 별도로, 문예창작 교육을 받은 문예창작학도들의 진로 개발을 위해 '문예교육지도 교사 자격 시험'도 운영하고 있습니다. The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing is a pure academic association for the literary cretive writing, and was organized on November 11, 2001 for the purpose of presenting the new direction of literary creative writing by studying all the methods to activate and develop the theories of literary creative writing and its education. Our society is composed of professors or ex-professors, some invited professor, lecturers, graduate students of the dept. of literary creative writing as regular members, and the persons interested in our program as associative members. Our society holds an annual academic meeting-- literary symposium, literary creative writing seminar-- and publishes the journal of our society and our members' anthology of literary works. Added to these, our society has already started a new project to open the way for our literary juniors by providing them with a certificate as a leader and holding a forum for literary creative writing.
