Yeogyuhyeong’s Chunhyangjeon written by Chinese is the early origins of Chunhyangjeon drama transcript of Coseonseongagyeonguhoe(Choseon folk music theater). A research to date on a comparison of Yeogyuhyeong’s Chunhyangjeon and Chunhyangjeon drama transcript of Coseonseongagyeonguhoe has focused on the meaning of works as early plays. But a current research interests should be transferred from the previous concerns to the check for the structure and format and purpose and application possibilities of Chunhyangjeon as a Changgeug(choseon folk music) script. This study tries to analyze the early form of Changgeug script through Yeogyuhyeong’s Chunhyangjeon written by Chinese in 1910’s, and compare the early form and form of Chunhyangjeon of Coseonseongagyeonguhoe(Choseon folk music theater). This study tries to investigate the transformation process and established procedures in comparison with Chunhyangjeon written by Chinese and Chunhyangjeon of Coseonseongagyeonguhoe.

여규형의 한문연본 <춘향전>은 창극 연행 대본의 초기 원형을 담고 있는 대본이다. 지금까지 이 작품에 대한 연구는 이에 대한 의의를 밝히는 것에 맞추어져 있었다. 하지만 현재 연구는 이러한 대본의 구성과 형식 그리고 그 목적과 활용 가능성을 점검하는 것으로 이전해야 한다. 본 연구는 한문연본 <춘향전>을 통해 1910년대 창극 대본의 초기 형식을 살펴보고, 1930년대 조선성악연구회의 창극 <춘향전> 대본(개요)와 비교하고자 했다. 이러한 비교를 통해 창극 연행 대본의 변모 과정과 정립 과정을 고찰하고자 했다.
