This paper examined whether intellectuals of Chosŏn used the Chinese document, 『Shiwenleiju(事文類聚)』, within its influence and traced the process of Chinese documents being accepted in Korean context. This paper first looked into the process that 『Shiwenleiju』 was introduced to Chosŏn and published as government publication. It found out 『Xinpiangujin Shiwenleiju(新編古今事文類聚)』, which was first introduced to Chosŏn in the 15th century and was published as metal type, was the original printed book that did not include Jooyeon’s manuscripts, and clarified the year that Shinmyo version(辛卯本) of 『Shiwenleiju』 was published. Then, it organized the lineage relationship of commercial publications that were made by summarizing the original script of 『Shiwenleiju』, and roughly showed the scope of knowledge that such simplified version suggests. After that, the manuscripts of 『Shiwenleiju』 that are currently kept in libraries were examined and presented, and the trend of transcription was analyzed. Lastly, similar books of Chosŏn that imitated the system of 『Shiwenleiju』 was studied. Through this process, it was proven that intellectuals of Chosŏn accepted 『Shiwenleiju』 and adapted it as their own in several levels.

본고는 중국문헌인 「사문유취」의 영향력의 자장 안에서 조선시대 지식인들이 「사문유취」를 활용하였는지에 대해 고찰함으로써, 중국문헌이 조선적인 맥락에서 수용되는 과정을 추적해보았다. 본고는 우선 「사문유취」가 조선에 유입되어 관판본으로 간행되는 과정을 살펴보았다. 15세기에 최초로 조선에 유입되어 금속활자로 간행된 「신편고금사문유취」가 祝淵의 遺集이 포함되지 않은 원대 간본임을 밝히고, 신묘본 「사문유취」의 간행연대를 확정하였다. 다음으로, 「사문유취」를 저본으로 축약 간행된 방각본 판본의 계통관계를 정리하고 이러한 축약본이 제시하는 지식의 범주를 개략적으로 밝혔다. 다음으로, 현재 각 도서관에 소장되어 있는 「사문유취」의 필사본들을 조사하여 제시하고 필사 경향을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 「사문유취」의 체제를 모방한 조선의 유서에 대해 알아보았다. 이를 통해 조선의 지식인들이 다양한 층위에서 「사문유취」를 수용하고 자기화하였음을 논증하였다.
