The purpose of this study was to examine the necessity of evaluative accreditation for teaching materials and equipment for infant and preschooler in terms of their development and the needs of people in the areas of early childhood education and educare and in related companies. And the voices from the field of education and the needs of companies justified the necessity of the introduction of a trustworthy accreditation system. Therefore simulation models for an evaluative accreditation system for teaching materials and equipment was set up after domestic and foreign research trends were analyzed. One was a national accreditation system that could be either based on recommendation or not, like the accreditation system of early childhood education and educare programs. The other is a sort of consortium jointly led by academic societies of early childhood education and educare and private enterprises. An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the two different kinds of accreditation methods will make it possible to provide the related industry with standard on products suitable for the development of infant and preschooler, and that is also expected to make a contribution to the spread of quality programs, teaching materials and aids in the areas of early childhood education and educare in our country.

본 연구는 영·유아용 교재․교구 인증 평가에 관한 필요성을 영유아의 발달적 측면에서 살펴보고, 유아 교육과 보육 현장 및 기업체에서의 요구를 분석하였다. 그 결과 신뢰할만한 인증 시스템 도입 방안에 대하 여 교육 현장에서의 목소리와 기업체의 필요성을 확인하였고 국내외 평가인증에 대한 연구 동향을 살펴보 아, 이를 토대로 교재교구 평가인증 시스템에 대한 시뮬레이션을 구성해 보았다. 첫째, 국가차원의 인증 방 법으로서 유아교육과 보육현장 프로그램 인증 시스템의 체계와 같은 추천-비추천제이다. 둘째, 유아교육·보 육 및 관련학회와 민간업체 등과 공동으로 추진하는 컨소시엄 형태의 방안이다. 각각의 인증방법에 대한 장·단점을 살펴봄으로써, 교재교구 관련 기업체에는 영유아의 발달에 적합한 제품에 대한 기준을 마련해 줄 수 있으며, 앞으로의 우리나라 유아교육·보육 현장에는 질적으로 우수한 프로그램 및 교재교구의 보급에 보 탬이 되고자 한다.
