Current anti-Korean phenomenon in Japanese society such as hate speech and flood of anti-Korean books has been regarded as an element that hamper development of relationship between South Korea and Japan. In case of Anti-Korean book, starting from "Manga Hate Korean Wave" series, there showed a boom of anti-Korean books from 2013. This article tries to understand and analyze the current status and discussion of anti-Korean books. Firstly, to investigate current status of the books in bookstores, conducted field research to 67 bookstores located in major cities in Japan on July of 2015. The most displayed book was found in 48 places(71.6%), and 16th book was found in 29 places(43%) and also considerate amount of books were displayed. Also corners displaying similar books at one place were scattered in bookstores in 5 types. However, it was possible to reconsider the status of the books by analyzing and arranging various discussions and incidents in Japan. ‘BookLovers Against Racism', established by people engaged in publishing industry, is conducting various activities to warn the status of the industry. Also many discussions such as analysis of buyers, responsibility of the bookstore, response of civil society and warning 'anti-Korea' book fare, gives opportunities to reconsider the actual status of the books in Japanese society.

現在、日本社会に置けるヘイトスピーチや嫌韓本の氾濫などは、円満な日韓関係を妨げる一因となっている。嫌韓本の場合、山野車輪の『嫌韓流』シリーズをはじめ、2013年には、ブームのような現象まで現れるに至った。しかし、このような現象に対する考察や研究は少なく、韓国で嫌韓本に対する認識は、感情的なニュース報道に左右されているという問題意識から、その現状と論議を整理し分析することが本稿の目的である。 まず、日本の書店における嫌韓本の陳列現況を把握するため、2015年7月、日本の大都市を中心に、67ヵ所の書店に対して現地調査を行った。陳列頻度がもっとも高かった書籍は48ヵ所(71.6％)で、そして上位16番目の書籍も29ヵ所(43％)で陳列され、その以下、相当の書籍が陳列されていることを発見した。そしてこのような書籍が一所に集まっているコーナーは、五つの種類で書店に散在されていた。このような光景は、嫌韓本の出版における主要著者や出版社が存在する以上、しばらく続くと分析した。 しかし、嫌韓本における多様な議論と事件を整理し、分析することによって、嫌韓本の実体について再認識することができた。このような現象に違和感を覚え、結成された「ヘイトスピーチと排外主義に加担しない出版関係者の会」は、嫌韓本現象に流通構造上の原因があるという意識から、日本の出版業界に自浄を促す多様な活動を行ってきた。その他にも、出版社の嫌韓警戒ブックフェア、市民社会の反応、主要購買層分析、書店の責任など多様な事件と議論は、日本社会に置ける嫌韓本の存在感について再考することができる。
