This study verified a “Decorative form” which was discovered in the project to make Hentai‐Gana Unicode. I checked printing type samples of the Meiji era to collect Hentai‐Gana. These samples included the Hentai‐Gana which was not used in the woodblock print of the Edo era. These Hentai‐Gana were used for neither printing type print nor handwriting in the Meiji era. They come from old handwriting of the Heian era and the Kamakura era. However, it is not thought that they were used practically in the Edo era and the Meiji era. It is thought that they were used decoratively in art such as poetry or the calligraphy. In anticipation of the demand as a “Decorative form”, their printing types must have been made in the Meiji era. I should pay attention to not only the “Practical form” but also the “Decorative form” in the study of Hentai‐Gana
