This study is characterized as a theme archive aims to look at the practical and concrete way digital archiving from concerns about the role of the folk museum archives. Many previous studies have been actively conducted on various topics archive was a case that led to the actual building. Survey results also showed that operates, established the current 32 national or public archives and 22 private archives, a total of 54 archives. The archive includes some folk songs as a full subject of the records, or only for folk music is 11 archives. Promotion of folk museum built and archives building when considering these leading practices and outstanding value as an intangible cultural heritage of folk-songs is, private or public institutions, collected sporadically through the organization, storage, management consists come and integration of documentary-intensive through conservation, utilization and management through the collection, with the creation of future value enhancement of folk culture and folk songs will be something very meaningful to provide an opportunity of diffusion.

본 연구는 특성화된 주제아카이브로서 민요박물관 아카이브의 역할에 대한 고민으로부터 출발하여 실제적이고 구체적인 디지털 아카이빙 방법을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 선행연구 결과, 그간 다양한 주제아카이브에 관한 선행연구가 활발히 진행되어 실제 구축으로까지 이어진 사례가 있었으며, 현재 국내 32개의 공공아카이브와 22개 사설아카이브, 총 54개 아카이브가 설립되어 운영되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 전체 대상 기록물에 일부로 민요를 포함하거나 민요만을 대상으로 하는 아카이브는 모두 11개였다. 선행 사례와 민요의 무형문화유산으로서의 뛰어난 가치를 고려할 때 민요박물관 건립과 아카이브 구축의 추진은, 그간 개인 또는 공공기관, 단체를 통해 산발적으로 수집, 보관, 관리가 이루어져 온 기록물들의 통합적이고 집약적인 수집과 관리를 통한 보존, 활용을 통해 미래 민요문화의 창조와 더불어 민요의 가치 제고와 확산의 계기를 마련하는 매우 의미 있는 일이 될 것이다.
