- The present study investigates the structural relationship of over-parenting, adolescent's well-being, community spirit, and school adjustment. A total of 2,351 adolescents. Analyzed data are proven from National Youth Policy Institute in South Korea. As important results in structural equation models, the over-parenting was found to be stable negative effects to adolescents' well-being and school adjustment directly. Also, the depressed community spirit and well-being were definitely dependent on increased over-parenting indirectly as well as directly. The implications for research and intervention are discussed.
