The purpose of this study was to investigate the situation of human rights in the military youth consciousness. To organize and to identify the factors that affect human consciousness. To this end, from December 2015 to February 2016 confirmed that 512 young military soldiers who mujung human rights awareness and related factors in Gyeonggi, Gangwon-do, Jeolla-do. The results were as follows. First, the overall human rights awareness of youth soldiers was high. There were differences depending on the components and information. Thus, the components of human consciousness is the highest human rights action doctor. Human judgment and order was the human rights sensitivity. Depending on the content of human rights were the economic, social and cultural rights. Second, the result of verifying the relevant factors that affect the human rights awareness, self-esteem, military culture, human rights violations experience, human rights education experience has an impact on human consciousness. And it was having a significant impact on human judgment and human sensibility, human rights action doctor. It was a difference in the respective type. Based on the results of the analysis it was presented action plans for fostering human rights awareness of youth soldiers.

본 연구의 목적은 군인청소년의 인권의식의 실태를 알아보고, 인권의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 체계화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2015년 12월부터 2016년 2월까지 경기도, 강원도, 전라도의 부대에서 군복무중인 군인청소년 512명의 인권의식과 관련요인을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군인청소년의 전체적인 인권의식은 보통 수준이었으며, 인권의 구성요소와 인권의 내용에 따라 차이가 있었다. 인권의식의 구성요소에 따라서는 인권행동의사가 가장 높았고, 인권판단력, 인권감수성 순으로 나타났다. 인권의 내용에 따라서는 경제·사회·문화적 권리가 시민·정치적 권리보다 높았다. 둘째, 인권의식에 영향을 미치는 관련요인을 검증한 결과, 자아존중감, 군대문화, 인권침해경험, 인권교육경험이 인권의식과 인권의식을 구성하는 인권판단력, 인권감수성, 인권행동의사에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 각각의 유형에서 차이가 나타났다. 분석 결과를 토대로 군인청소년의 인권의식 함양을 위한 실천방안을 제시하였다.
