With the housing supply rate hovering over 100% in 2002 due to constant supply of housing, the awareness about housing is changing and the interest in living environment is increasing, highlighting the importance of living environment. Against this backdrop, this study used the micro data of ‘2014 Survey of Residential Conditions’, the national data related to the researches on the level of satisfaction about living environment and analyzed factors that affect the level of satisfaction of house owners about living environment at national level. The result of analysis is as follows. Physical, locational, and social factors that were selected as independent variables all had statistically significant results. Also, it was found that educational background had no influence on the level of satisfaction about living environment. Lastly, housing price increase had a statistically significant influence on the level of satisfaction about living environment. The result implies that when building houses, there should be efforts to raise the level of satisfaction about social factors, that is, security, safety, noise, and relationship with neighbors.

지속적인 주택공급으로 주택보급률이 2002년 100%를 상회함에 따라 주택에 대한 인식의 변화 및 주거환경에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 상황으로 주거환경의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주거환경 만족도와 관련한 연구 중에서 전국적인 데이터 자료인 「2014 주거실태조사」의 마이크로데이터를 활용하여 전국 차원에서 자가주택 가구의 주거환경 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 독립변수로 선정한 물리적요인, 입지적요인, 사회적 요인 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 결과가 도출되었고, 주거환경 만족도에 학력이 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 주택가격상승이 주거환경 만족도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과의 시사점은 주택 조성시 사회적요인, 즉 방범 및 안전, 소음, 이웃 관계 등에 대한 만족도를 높이기 위한 노력이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
