As it's said that a synthetic analysis of human physical activities that are very complicated is required ins tead of merely making a simple interpretation, a cross-disciplinary approach and interchange with adjacent a cademic disciplines are increasingly mandatory these days, which is taken for granted. The suffixes '~ scienc e, ~ education and ~ology' are prevailing in the titles of P.E. The suffix '~ology' could be said as a relativel y appropriate suffix that unveils the academic identity of P.E. As a matter of fact, a lot of disciplines adopt this suffix to represent their academic identity, and this suffix is so comprehensive as to show the methodol ogical features of discipline, no matter whether an approach of humanities or a scientific approach is taken. Accordingly, it seems that kinesiology would be the best possible title to replace P.E., provided that there is a careful review of it in terms of the body of knowledge. at present. That is the only P.E.-related title that involves '~ology,' and is possible to satisfy the conditions of knowledge about the body of knowledge, focus of knowledge and mode of inquiry. At present, nothing has been determined yet, and the title of P.E. will b e decided in a productive way by the researchers who participate today.
