In the 21st century, China’s economy is growing very rapidly and is in a center of East Asian region. China is actively promoting the East Asia regional economic integration, in the other hand, the United States is promoting the TPP in order to respond to China. China and Korea have been cooperating to promote a FTA with the institutional form to deepen mutual strategic value and economic benefits. In order to ensure economic growth from the long-term recession, Japan needs a stagnant economic cooperation with China, but the competitiveness of Japan in China was weakened by the signing of the China-Korea FTA. Japan is expected to strengthen the political and economic cooperation with the United States in order to remake up for the competitiveness in East Asia. In the future, Japan, the United States and China are to accelerate even more aggressively to take the initiative of FTA in East Asian region.

일본어

21世紀に入って、中国の経済力が急速に増強し、中国を含む東アジア地域が世界の経済中心地に位置している。東アジア地域は中国を中心に地域経済統合が進められているが、米国はこれに対応するためにTPPを積極的に推進している。韓国と中国は相互の戦略的価値と経済的利益をさらに強固にするため、制度的協力関係を持つFTAを締結することになった。 日本は、長期間低迷している経済成長の動力を確保するため、中国との経済協力が切実である。しかし、今回の中韓FTA締結により、中国市場において競争関係にある韓国に先取りされた感じである。東アジア地域における主導権競争の中で、日本は中韓FTAの締結によるの競争力低下を補うとの戦略的利益を確保するために、米国との政治的、経済的協力を一層強化されることが予測される。したがって、日本は米国主導のTPPをもっと積極的に加速させると見られる。今後、東アジア地域においては、米国と日本の主導するTPPと中国の主導するRCEPとの競争が激しくなると予想される。
