The purpose of this study is to analyze if parents-children communication mediates the effect of parents' filial piety on children's filial piety and to verify mediated moderating effect of self-esteem. As the result of analysis, first, it turned out that parents' filial piety have positive (+) effect on children's filial piety. Parents-children communication has a statistically significant mediating effect. Second, heightened parents' filial piety enhances adolescents' filial piety and the higher the self-esteem, the bigger its effect. Third, heightened parents' filial piety enhances parents-children communication and thereby adolescents' filial piety. The higher the self-esteem is, the bigger the effect of parents' filial piety on parents-children communication and, in addition, the bigger the effect of parents-children communication on adolescents' filial piety.

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 효의식이 자녀의 효의식에 미치는 영향에서 부모-자녀 의사소통이 매개하는지 분석하고, 자아존중감의 매개된 조절효과를 검증하는데 있다. 분석결과 첫째, 부모 효의식이 청소년 효의식에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는데 부모-자녀 의사소통이 통계적으로 유의미한 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모 효의식이 높아지면 청소년 효의식이 높아지고, 조절변수인 자아존중감이 높아질수록 그 영향이 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모 효의식이 높아지면서 부모-자녀 의사소통이 높아져서 청소년 효의식이 높아지며, 조절변수인 자아존중감이 높아지면 독립변수 부모 효의식이 부모-자녀 의사소통에 미치는 영향과 매개변수 부모-자녀 의사소통이 청소년 효의식에 미치는 영향이 더 커지는 것으로 나타났다.
