The purpose of this research is to investigate Jung Il Kim's article, "About the JOOCHAE Philosophy or [Ideology] (March 31, 1932)," in terms of the religious perspective, specially from the viewpoint of Christianity. Kim's article is regarded as a prominence comment on the JOOCHAE philosophy [or ideology] as well as a theoretical basis of the philosophy [or ideology]. The religious interpretation to Kim's article will provide three matters: 1) humanity as independent spirit, 2) the religious culture as creativity, and 3) the nature of religion as consciousness. This approach will further provide a path of dialogue between North and South Korea through the frame of the religion. On the basis of the anthropocentric perspective, that is, the independent spirit, the creativity, and the consciousness, the JOOCHAE philosophy is no longer remained in the socialogical nature but is developed to the spiritual nature.

이 연구는 김정일의 「주체사상에 대하여」(l932년 3월 3l일)를 종교적 시각, 특히 기독교적 시각으로 분석하고자 하는 것이다. 김정일의 이 논문은 주체사상에 대한 탁월한 해설서이며 철학적인 기틀을 확립한 저작이다. 이러한 주체사상을 종교적으로 독해한다면 ‘자주성의 존재로서 인간’, ‘창조성으로서 종교문화’, ‘의식성으로서 종교성’ 으로 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. 더 나아가 이러한 연구는 남북한간 대화의 접촉점을 종교를 통해서 모색하는 기틀이 될 것이다. 주체사상의 인간 중심적인 시각, 곧 인간 이해에 있어서 자주성, 창조성, 의식성의 사유를 종교적 인 사유에서 받아들인다면, 동시에 주체사상은 생물학적 속성과는 대비되는 사회적 속성에만 남아있을 것이 아니라, 영적인 속성으로의 개방을 통하여 서로간에 지평융합을 해나간다면 주체사상의 종교적 독해를 통해 남북한간문화적 차원의 대화 물꼬는 트일 것이다.
