Tourism destination development in the tourism industry is important. Excavation of new tourism resources that can meet the diverse needs of tourists is important above all. The fact that you can not see anywhere in the world tourism resources in the DMZ to develop a sustainable ecological tourist attractions is quite appealing. The security themed tourism is a quaint tourist attraction that can be produced under special circumstances, and can be clearly differentiated. Tourism product diversification is one of the main challenges for the tourism industry promotion. By targeting the security scheme tourism to seek a comprehensive content and utilization of tourist in the tourism industry. This study was a technical study through a literature search by Book & Data Research as a reference approach method. In spite of the nature of the limitations of the study due to national security related of accurate information and study materials, the tourism resources development and ecological security themed tourism of the DMZ area and the border area with the center of distribution of the military solely as security facility for ecological tourism resources could be the valuable tourism products. DMZ tourism can be the tourist attraction for domestic and foreign parties, the competitive tourism resources. The security theme tourism such as DMZ tourism will be the places of tourism and exchanges, and look forward to continued new life of peace zones, it should be re-born as a mecca of eco-education places.

관광산업에서 관광목적지 개발은 중요하다. 관광객의 다양한 관광욕구에 부응할 수 있는 새로운 관광자원의 발굴은 무엇보다도 중요하다. 세계 어느 곳에서도 볼 수 없는 관광자원인 비무장지대를 친환경적 생태 관광지와 안보관광지로 개발할 수 있다는 것 은 상당히 매력적일 것이다. 안보 관광산업은 특수한 상황 하에서 연출될 수 있는 이 색적인 관광매력물이며 다른 관광자원과는 뚜렷하게 차별화가 될 수 있다. 관광 상품 다변화는 관광산업 진흥을 위한 주요과제의 하나이며, 이를 위해 안보관광을 본 연구 의 대상으로 하여, 관광산업에 있어서 안보에 대한 중요성과 안보관광의 종합적인 내 용과 활용방안을 모색하고자 한다. 연구의 방법은 문헌조사를 통한 기술적 연구인 문헌접근법으로 하였다. 연구 대상의 특성상의 한계로는 DMZ지역과 접경지역의 안보 및 생태환경에 관한 관광자원개발 방 안 연구를 중심으로 하고 있어, 군사작전시설인 만큼 안보 생태관련 관광자원의 분포 는 많으나 정확한 정보와 연구 자료의 제한성이 있었다. DMZ관광은 국내외 관광자에게 매력 있고, 경쟁력 있는 관광자원이다. 관광과 교류의 장소, 새로운 평화와 생명의 지대로 거듭 태어나길 기대하며, 생태교육 장소의 메카 로 재탄생되어야 한다.
