With the advent of a knowledge-creating society, creativity and emotional competencies such as harmony and sympathy have been emphasized. Hence, teachers as well have been required to manage and create a knowledge on the basis of a sense of creativity, imagination, insight, and aesthetic. However, pre-service teacher education so far has hardly focused on such competencies due to the lessons that were instructor-centered, theory-focused. Thus, it is needed to develop and apply an alternative instruction method that would improve the knowledge-creating competency. This study applied smart-phone film-making instruction method to 「Schoolteachers」 course designed for pre-service teachers for a semester, and analyzed students’ learning process and results. For this purpose, personal journals and team portfolios were collected. Also, course observation reports and interview data were included as a complementary material. Then, they were analyzed using Qualitative Analysis. The major findings from the analysis are listed as follows. First, students’ prior knowledge and perspectives towards school teachers were reflected as topics for their films, most of which were related to the initial stage of teacher’s professional development. For instance, they were interested in teacher socialization, teacher’s interpersonal relationship, teacher training system, and teacher’s professional development. Also, their interests were characterized as understanding of a teacher from student’s perspective, a question for a teacher’s normative model, and reflection on preconceived idea of school principals. Second, students have changed their knowledge and attitudes towards school teachers through learning. While they focused only on issues around them at first, they have widened their horizons to a school organization and a teaching profession. Moreover, they have changed their perceptions towards teaching profession and school teachers throughout the course.

지식창조사회의 도래에 따라, 교사에게도 창의성, 상상력, 통찰력, 심미안 등의 사고 능력을 바탕으로 하여, 지식을 활용하고 창조할 수 있는 역량이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 현재의 교사 양성교육은 교수자 주도의 이론 중심적인 수업과 형식적인 운영 등으로 인해, 예비교사들에 게 이러한 사고 능력을 함양시키지 못하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구에서는 교사양성교 육에서 예비교사들이 기존의 과학적, 합리적 사고의 한계를 보완할 수 있는 새로운 사고를 경험하고 학습하기 위한 새로운 교육방법을 적용하고, 그 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 <교직과 교사> 수업에 스마트폰 영화제작 교육방법을 적용하여, 교직 과 교사에 관한 학생들의 관점이 어떻게 변화하였는지 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 2012년 1학 기 S대학교의 수업에 참여한 총17명의 학생이며, 2012년 4월 13일부터 6월 14일까지의 총 9 주에 걸쳐 수합된, 총 147편의 개인 저널과 수업관찰일지, 면담 자료 등을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교직과 교사에 대한 학생들의 관심 주제는 신입교사의 교직사회화와 인간관계, 교사양성제도 등으로 주로 교직 입직 단계의 주제에 집중되었으며, 법규나 제도적 측면보다 는 학교 현실에 보다 많은 관심을 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교직과 교사에 관한 선행 인식 및 관점은 “학생의 입장에서”의 교사에 대한 이해, 교사의 “모범”적 삶에 대한 당 위적 인식, 교장에 대한 부정적인 인식으로 나타났다. 이러한 인식은 영화 제작 과정을 통한 학습을 진행하면서, “학생의 시선에서 교사의 시선으로” 변화, 교사에 대한 이해와 공감의 형 성 등 교직과 교사에 관한 관점이 보다 확장되고 수용적으로 변화한 것으로 분석되었다.
