The purpose of the study was to present the implications based on the results of analyzing current situation of the agricultural life sciene area education in the colleges for elementary school teachers. To achieve the purpose of the study, the curriculum for the agricultural life science education from all colleges and all syllabuses for each class for he agricultural life science education was collected. Furthermore, the professors for those classes were interviewed. Then, the syllabuses and the results of the interview were analyzed by the standards for the general agricultural education. The implications from this study were as follows. First, the subject curriculum courses for agricultural life science area were insufficient to the standards for the general agricultural education. Therefore, the contents of those courses should be adjusted and regulated based on the standards for the general agricultural education and the 2015 revised national curriculum for the practical arts education. Second, the intensive courses in the department should be adjusted and reinforced on the contents of ‘animal production and management’, ‘understanding and importnace of agriculture’, ‘value and safety of agricultural food’, ‘agriculture and rurla policy’.

이 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 실과교육과정이 발표됨에 따라 우리나라 초등교사교육기관에서의 농업생명과학 영역에 대한 교사교육 현황을 비교·분석하고 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 각 초등교사교육기관에서의 농업생명과학 영역에 대한 교사교육을 인터넷 자료, 강의계획서, 담당교수와의 인터뷰를 통하여 조사하였다. 그리고 각 기관에서의 교사교육을 비교하기 위하여 농업생명과학 영역의 교육 내용 분석을 위한 기준을 마련하였다. 그리고 각 기관에서의 농업생명과학 영역의 교육내용을 비교·분석하였고, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 도출하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 기반으로 제시된 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 초등교사교육기관에서의 농업생명과학 영역에 대한 교사교육은 심화과정 교과에서의 교육내용에 비해 교과교육에서의 내용이 보다 균형있게 다루어졌으나, 발표된 2015 개정 실과교육과정의 내용을 반영하여 보다 균형있는 교육을 제공할 수 있도록 교육내용의 수정이 요구된다. 둘째, 심화과정에서의 농업생명과학 영역에 대한 교사교육은 현재와 같이 심도 깊은 지식과 실기 능력을 배양할 수 있도록 제공하되 ‘동물생산 및 관리’, ‘농업의 이해 및 중요성’, ‘농식품의 가치 및 안전성’, ‘농업 및 농촌 정책’에 대한 내용을 보강해야 한다.
