For becoming it, I use the technique called the modern girl, but, in Kim Dong in, the aspect of a modern girl appearing in the work of both writers varies in the formation of the image for women with Tanizaki each. As for the modern girl, skin is white like a Westerner for Tanizaki and is a woman resembling an American actress, and, in the people that the modern girl received education for Kim Dong in, free love is the person whom it is possible for. Tanizaki finds the seductive woman who ensnares men of the modern girl of Naomi, a devilish woman conquering a man by the change to a prostitute that is a sense of beauty, “the person who a beautiful person is a strong man, and is ugly is the weak”. The change of the modern girl of Kim Dong in is reflection of the times and the modern girl hits the wall called the society and perishes. For Kim Dong In, the sublimation of the modern girl might be difficult. In addition, the Korean literature as the new development place to lack in continuation of the artistic literature would have immaturity in the technique.

本稿では、谷崎潤一郎の｢痴人の愛｣と金東仁の｢金妍実伝｣における問題を分析する上で重要なモダンガールが如何なる要素と結びつき、如何に変貌したのかという点を中心に両作家のモダンガールの相違点と共通点を明らかにした。 谷崎と金東仁は、女性像の形成化のために、モダンガールという手法を使っているが、両作家の作品に現れているモダンガールの様相はそれぞれ異なる。谷崎にとってモダンガールは肌が西洋人のように白く、アメリカの女優に似た女性であるが、金東仁にとってモダンガールは教育を受けた人で、自由恋愛ができる人である。谷崎はナオミのモダンガールの妖婦、娼婦への変貌によって男性を征服する悪魔的な女性、つまり｢美しい者は強者であり、醜い者は弱者である｣という美意識を見いだす。金東仁のモダンガールの変貌は時代の反映であり、モダンガールは社会という壁にぶつかって破滅していく。金東仁にとって、モダンガールの昇華は難しかったかもしれない。また、芸術的文学の継続を欠く新開発地としての韓国文学は手法上の未熟さが否めなかったであろう。
