To examine the perception of modern dance by Street Dance Majors, students of the Seoul Arts-Occupation Training College majoring in Street Dance (hip-hop, belly dancing, urban dancing, broadcast dancing, waacking, locking, b-boy, krump, jazz dancing etc.) were selected to participate in a research survey. The collected data was analyzed using SPSSWIN Ver 19.0 for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and Cronbach's α test, independent-sample t-test, correlation analysis and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to examine the research objectives.The following results were derived. First, creativity, ability to create, ability to express were all higher in the group that expressed higher artistic value than that of the group that expressed lower artistic value. Second, creativity, ability to create, ability to express were all higher in the group that expressed higher cultural value than that of the group that expressed lower cultural value. Third, creativity, ability to create, ability to express were all higher in the group that had a higher solo performance capability than that of the group that had lower solo performance capability. Fourth, creativity, ability to create, ability to express were all higher in the group that had a higher composition creation ability than that of the group that had lower composition creation ability. Therefore it can be concluded that there are differences in the influence of modern dancing education according to the students perceived values of modern dancing and also their ability to create dance.

본 연구에서는 스트릿댄스 전공자의 현대무용에 대한 인식 연구를 규명하기 위해 예술실용전문학교에서 스트릿 댄스 전공자(힙합, 밸리댄스, 팝핀, 얼반, 방송무용, 왁킹, 락킹, 비보이, 크럼프, 재즈댄스 등) 조사대상의 모집단으 로 선정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSSWIN Ver 19.0프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석과 Cronbach's α검사, 독립표본 t-test, 상관분석, 다변량분산분석(MANOVA)을 실시하여 연구 문제를 해결하였다. 그 결과 다음 과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 예술적 가치가 낮은 집단보다 높은 집단에서 창의성, 창작능력, 표현능력이 모 두 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화적가치가 낮은 집단보다 높은 집단은 창의성, 창작능력, 표현능력이 모두 높 은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 독창능력이 낮은 집단보다 높은 집단은 창의성, 창작능력, 표현능력이 모두 높은 것으 로 나타났다. 넷째, 구성능력이 낮은 집단보다 높은 집단은 창의성, 창작능력, 표현능력이 모두 높은 것으로 나타 났다. 즉, 현대무용에 대한 가치와 무용창작능력에 따라서 현대무용수업의 효과의 차이가 있음을 알 수 있다.
