In this article, I would like to address the usage of the computer tablet as macintosh i-Pad, which has a strange similarity to the writing tool described by Sigmund Freud in his famous small text of 1925 “Note on the magic block” (‘Notiz über den’ Wunderblock’”) : the English name of Wunderblock is the “Magic Pad”. This parallel between i Pad and Magic Pad seems particularly not only become our everyday tool also but our “mental prosthesis” in some way - Freud had elected the Magic Pad as a model to illustrate his conception of the psychic apparatus. If so, I'll deliver my reflexions on the implication of informatics apparatus in today's psychic life by tracing the evolution of the theoretical conception of the psychic apparatus in Freud throughout his work. In particular, I consider Freud not as abstract thinker as more engineer of the human soul. The Unconscious is not structured like a language, but it is structured like a cinematograph: it is graphic - grammatologic - and technologic.

본고는 프로이트의 정신분석 이론을 통해 디지털 시대의 표현 매체(i-Pad)를 재해석하고자 한다. 특히 1925년 프로이트가 쓴 소논문, “매직 블록에 대한 노트” (Notiz über den' Wunderblock)에 대한 세밀한 독법으로 프로이트의 매직 노트와 디지털 시대의 표현매체 사이에 존재하는 상동성을 발견하고자 한다. 이는 프로이트가 정신 기구의 개념화로써 마술 패드를 해석하고자 한 시도를 오늘날의 정신생활에서 정보의 함의가 갖는 의미에 대한 성찰과 연결하고자 하는 노력에서 비롯된다. 특히 본고는 ‘무의식은 언어처럼 구조화되어 있지 않다.’는 견해를 통하여 무의식은 그래픽적이며, 그라마톨로지적이며, 테크놀로지적이라는 주장을 하고자 한다. 특히 프로이트의 에크리튀르라는 보다 방대한 문제를 지향하고 있으며 기억과 지각 사이의 관계를 지각의 무의식과 기억의 흔적이라는 새로운 문제 설정을 통해 접근하는 시도를 지향한다.
