This study analyzed a case of 'international blessing marriage' as the practical movement of the world peace and the multi-cultural peace, which had been supported by Rev. Sun Myung Moon who is a founder of FFWPU(Family Federation for World Peace and Unification). The international blessing marriage, which had been driven for a peace settlement by Rev. Sun Myung Moon, was the archetype of multiculturalism. The reverend's peace movement is aiming to realize positive and permanent peace. The international blessing marriage, which was begun from 1963, has been carried out totally 33 times so far and was joined by 55,522 couples. As for the results of the international blessing marriage, first, it is the archetype of multi-culture. Second, it is the contribution to world peace. Third, it is the practical movement through multi-cultural peace. Fourth, it is the contribution to the reduction in an urban-rural gap and to wiping out the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law conflicts along with the establishment of multi-cultural families. In terms of the limitations, first, it is the lack of openness in the wake of relying upon strong solidarity. Second, it is the necessity of easing religious conditions in the international blessing marriage participants.

이 연구는 세계평화통일가정연합의 창시자인 문선명 선생이 지향하였던 세계평화와 다문화평화의 실천운동으로써 ‘국제축복결혼’ 사례를 분석하였다. 문선명 선생이 평화실현을 위해 추진했던 국제축복결혼은 한국에서 다문화주의의 원형이었으며, 선생의 평화운동은 적극적·항구적인 평화를 구현하려는 목적을 갖고 있다. 1963년부터 시작된 국제축복결혼은 현재까지 총 33회가 실시되었으며, 55,522쌍이 참여하였다. 국제축복결혼의 성과로는 첫째, 다문화의 원형; 둘째, 세계평화에 기여; 셋째, 다문화평화를 통한 실천운동; 넷째, 다문화가정의 출범과 함께 도·농간의 격차 축소 및 고부간 갈등의 불식에 기여이다. 한계는 첫째, 강한연대에 의존한 결과, 개방성의 부족: 둘째, 국제축복결혼 참여자의 종교적 조건의 완화가 필요하다.
