The purpose of this paper is to analyze the satisfaction of women dwellers on the woman friendly planning elements of apartment complex in Gangneung-si. The woman friendly planning elements are chosen through examine the related prior studies and legal systems. And the survey is carried out targeting the woman dwellers of 6 apartment complexes in Sungduk-dong, Gangneung-si. The survey is intended to identify the difference of satisfaction on woman friendly planning elements by the characteristics of apartment complex - the number of household, construction year, and construction body. The results of this study are as follows. Generally the satisfaction of the woman friendly planning elements in the apartment complexes which have more than 1,000 households, are constructed after the year 2000, and are constructed by private sector is higher than those are not. The difference of the satisfaction of the woman friendly planning elements is most maximal by construction year, so it seems that the consideration for the social weak who include women has increased on the apartment complex plan. But the satisfaction of woman friendly planning elements in the apartment complexes is only normal level now. So the continuous interest and consideration for the woman friendly planning elements are needed.

본 연구는 2010년 여성친화도시로 지정된 강릉시의 공동주택단지에서 여성거주자들이 여성친화적 계획요소의 정비수준에 대한 만족수준의 조사·분석을 목적으로 하였다. 여성친화도시 관련 선행연구 및 제도의 검토를 통해 공동주택단지의 여성친화적 계획요소를 선정하고, 강릉시 성덕동 지역의 6개 공동주택단지를 선정하여 여성거주자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사를 통해 공동주택 특성 - 세대수, 입주시기, 공급주체 -에 따라 여성친화적 계획요소별 만족도를 도출함으로써 거주지 여건에 따른 만족도의 차이를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 전반적으로 1,000세대 이상, 2000년 이후 입주, 민간공급 주거단지의 만족도가 더 높았다. 다만 사회적 역량 부문은 타 계획부문에 비하여 단지특성별 차이가 크지 않았으며 상대적으로 유의수준도 낮게 나타났다. 공동주택의 입주시기에 따라 만족도에 대한 차이가 가장 큰 것으로 분석되었는데, 이를 통해 과거에 비해 공동주택단지 계획에서 여성을 비롯한 사회적 약자에 대한 배려가 점차 커지고 있다고 판단된다. 본 연구의 결과와 같이 현재 공동주택단지의 여성친화적 계획요소에 대한 만족도 수준은 보통(평균 3.0) 수준에 그치고 있어 보다 지속적인 관심과 계획적 배려가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
