This paper studies on how to use poems of Danjae, Shin Chaho to develop cultural contents. Danjae, a representative intellectual, novelist, historian, independence activist as well as a poet in the late 19th century of Korea, actively participated in the enlightenment and independent movement during the Japanese Colonial Era. This paper consists of two parts: First, it examines pioneering modern poetic meanings of Danjae's literary world. His poems are in the forefront in terms of their themes that embrace nationalism, enlightenment and confucianism. The themes of nationalism and enlightenment are related to ideas on modern nation-states. Confucianism plays a role as a philosophical support for his nationalism and enlightenment. Also, his poems present modern consciousness on language. In the period when people used Chinese characters and Korean letters together, he emphasized the importance of Korean language. Also, his poems symbolize modern images of “love” and “blood.” They strongly show the figurative and sensual images that modern poems emphasize. Second, Danjae's poems, life, and history books can be used as cultural contents in many aspects. Danjae as a true humanities scholar wrote many books on literature, history and philosophy. They are original sources that can be developed as cultural contents. For example, epic narratives of his poems and novels can be developed as movies, webtoons, and computer games. In addition, his hometown, or locations described in his poem and novels can be developed as tourist attractions. In particular, his birthplace, Chungcheong area has a possibility to develop cultures of Confucius Scholars as a festival and to attract many tourists. Also, the places like Beijing, Shanghai, and Manchuria where he participated in independence movement can be historic and cultural attractions where the young generation can learn the Korean history as well as his literary achievements. This paper analyzes Danjae's achievements by a cultural contents paradigm called ‘One Source Multi-Use’. It examines how original sources such as poems, novels, history books and biographies are analyzed and utilized as cultural contents. Further studies will present more specific methods on how literary texts, stories and materials on their writers can be developed as cultural contents.

이 논문은 호서명현 가운데 한 사람인 단재 신채호 시의 특성과 그것을 문화콘텐츠로 활용할 방안에 대한 연구이다. 단재는 19세기 후반에서 20세기 초에 활동했던 개량주의 적 유학자로서 애국계몽 운동과 독립 운동을 열정적으로 실천한 인물이다. 그는 시인이 었을 뿐만 아니라 소설가, 언론인, 역사학자, 독립운동가 등으로 활발한 활동을 했다. 이 논문의 내용은 두 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 단재의 시는 근대문학으로서의 선구 적 의미를 고찰했다. 단재의 시는 우선 애국계몽과 유교사상을 주제로 하였다는 점에서 선구적이다. 애국계몽은 근대적 민족국가의 추구와 연관되며, 유교사상은 그러한 애국계 몽을 정신적 뒷받침 역할을 했다. 또한 단재의 시는 근대적 언어 의식을 보여준다는 점에 서 선구적이다. 그는 한자와 한글이 혼용되던 시대에 근대적 차원의 한글의 중요성을 강 조했다. 뿐만 아니라 단재의 시는 “님”과 “피”의 근대적 의미를 상징적으로 형상화했다. 근대시에서 강조되는 비유적, 감각적 이미지를 충실하게 보여준 것이다. 둘째, 단재의 시와 생애, 역사 연구서들은 여러 가지 측면에서 문화콘텐츠로 활용할 가 치가 있다. 단재는 진정한 의미의 인문학자로서 문학, 역사, 철학의 분야에서 고루 많은 업적을 남겼는데, 이들은 문화콘텐츠로 활용하기에 아주 유용한 원천자료이다. 이를테면 그의 시나 소설에서 서사적 요소들을 추출하여 SNS콘텐츠나 영상예술 콘텐츠, 게임 콘 텐츠 등에 활용할 수 있다. 또는 그의 생애와 시, 소설의 공간적 배경을 문화관광 콘텐츠 로 개발할 만하다. 특히 그의 생가지는 충청지역의 선비문화나 축제와 연계하여 관광지 로 활성화할 필요가 있다. 그가 한때 독립운동을 했던 북경, 상해. 만주 지역 등도 역사체 험 여행을 위한 문화관광 콘텐츠로 활용할 만하다. 이 논문은 ‘원 소스 멀티 유스(One Source Multi use)’라는 문화콘텐츠의 기본적 패러 다임으로 단재의 업적들을 분석했다. 원천 자료로서의 시나 소설, 역사서, 생애 등에 관해 분석을 한 다음, 그것을 문화콘텐츠로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 살펴본 것이다. 아쉬운 것은 문화콘텐츠와 관련된 구체적이고 기술적인 방안들을 더 다양하게 제시하지 못했다는 점이다.
