Song-li-zhong-ding-gong-zou-yi-xuan(Memorials and Discussions of Li Kang in the Sung Dynasty) is a collection of reports to the emperor written by Li Kang (1083～1140), the able premier in the Sung Dynasty of China. As a war-advocating hardliner, he insisted on resistance against the Jin Dynasty, and this attitude was fully reflected in his writings. Interest in Li Kang’s ideas was raised in the Joseon Dynasty after Qing’s invasion in 1637 because the ruling class of the Joseon Dynasty was in need of the political theory of this book and a theoretical basis for revenge on Qing. Demand for the book was limited to the ruling class, however, Song-li-zhong-ding-gong-zou-yi-xuan was published only in two type-printed versions using the Hyeonjongsilrok-ja type(type used in the Annals of King Hyeonjong) and the Imjin-ja type (type cast in 1772), respectively. Even it was almost extinguished because it lost timeliness for revenge on Qing. However, these facts reflect the historicity of the book more clearly. Moreover, this book is meaningful in that it was selected as a material for so-dae (royal seminars) by King Yeongjo and became a potential ground for the improvement of Sang-pyeong-beop (Price Control Law) or the enactment of Gyun-yeok-beop (Equal Service Law).

｢宋李忠定公奏議｣는 宋代의 명재상인 李綱(1083～1140)의 상주문을 모은 책이다. 그는 강경한 주전론자로서 金에 대한 항전을 주장하였고, 이는 그의 저술에도 고스란히 녹아들어 있다. 조선에서는 병자호란 이후 이강의 주의에 대한 관심이 높아지는데, 이는 본서의 정치론과 복수설치에 대한 이론적 기반이 조선의 집권층에게 요구되었기 때문이다. 그러나 해당 수요는 집권층에 국한되어 ｢宋李忠定公奏議｣가 顯宗實錄字, 壬辰字 2종의 활자본으로만 간행되는 것에 그쳤고, 그나마도 복수설치의 時宜性을 잃어버리면서 사그라질 정도로 폭넓지 못했다. 하지만 이러한 점이 본서의 시대성을 더욱 분명하게 반영해주고 있다. 또한 본서는 영조의 召對 책자로 선정되어 상평법의 정비나 균역법의 시행 등에 있어 잠재적 근거가 되었다는 점에서도 의미가 있다.
