The purpose of this study was to develop the hands-on activity for 'technology-home economics' the unit at the 'energy and transportation technology' subject in middle school. This study was conducted by the following three stage. First of all, I carried out documents research and analysis of the 'energy and transportation technology' unit. Second, topics for appropriate technology hands-on activity were selected, and the organized for designing hand-on activity related invention in the development step. Finally, pilot and field test were conducted in order to amend and/or complement in improvement step. The theme and/or title of the appropriate technology hands-on activity is ‘non-electric refrigerator’, ‘pet bottle bulb’, ‘non-electric pump’ and consist of lesson plan and portfolio.

이 연구는 중학교 기술·가정과 ‘에너지와 수송기술’ 단원을 위한 적정기술 체험활동 과제를 개발하는데 있다. 이 연구는 다음과 같이 세 단계로 수행되었다. 첫째, 에너지와 수송기술 단원을 고찰하고, 관련 문헌을 분석하였다. 둘째, 적정기술 체험 활동 주제를 선정하고, 수업과정안을 개발하였다. 셋째, 개발된 적정기술 체험활동 과제를 예비시험과 현장시험을 통해 수정․보완하였다. 개발된 체험활동 과제는 ‘무동력 냉장고 만들기’, ‘페트병 전구 만들기’, ‘무동력 펌프 만들기’이며 교사용 자료와 학생용 포트폴리오로 구성되었다. 교사용 자료는 수업 전 읽어볼 내용, 개요, 활동 목표, 수업 전략, 활동 순서, 평가 방법 및 도구, 과정별 주요 활동, 설계 개요, 참고 자료, 평가표이며 학생용 자료는 개요, 수업 목표, 유의사항, 설계개요, 역할 분담표, 학습 활동지, 평가지 등이다.
