China and South Korea are close to each other in geographical location and cultural traditions, and have enjoyed a long history of cultural exchanges. As an important form of cultural exchange, book translation and publication between China and South Korea has developed rapidly since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. Compared to the fast growth of these practices, very few studies have been conducted with regard to the trend and current situation of the translation and publication of Korean books in China. In particular, there are virtually no existing studies that can shed light on the historical trajectory, current development, and future direction of the translation and publication of Korean humanities and social science books. As an attempt to fill this academic gap and contribute to the further development of Sino-Korean cultural exchanges, this study examines the translation and publication in China of Korean books in humanities and social sciences, including fields like linguistics, literature, philosophy, religion, history, politics, economics, and jurisprudence, among others. Chapter 2 reviews the history of the translation and publication of Korean humanities and social science books in China since the 1980s. Chapter 3 analyzes the current situation and problems of these practices, based on which Chapter 4 proposes several improvement plans for the future development of translation and publication of Korean humanities and social science books.

중국과 한국은 지리적으로 인접해 있고 문화적으로도 서로 통하는 부분이 많아 예로부터많은 분야에서 활발하게 교류해 왔다. 특히, 문화 교류의 중요한 부분인 중한 두 나라간 도서의 번역·출판은 1992년 중한 수교 이래 활발하게 진행해 왔다. 하지만 괄목할 만한 성과를거둔 도서의 번역·출판 실정에 비해 한국 도서의 중국어 번역·출판의 전체적인 흐름과 구체적인 내용을 파악할 수 있는 연구는 아직까지 미미한 상태이다. 특히 모든 학문의 기초인 인문학과 한국의 현실 문제를 다룬 사회학 분야 관련 도서의 번역·출판이 어떻게 이루어져 왔고어떻게 진행되고 있는지, 그리고 앞으로 어떻게 발전해 나갈 것인지 등의 내용을 다룬 연구성과는 아직까지 전무한 상태이다. 한중간의 광범위하고 깊이 있는, 그리고 건전하고 지속가능한 교류를 지향하기 위하여 본 연구는 아직까지 많은 관심을 끌지 못한 언어, 문학, 철학·종교, 역사, 정치, 경제, 법학 등을 포함한 인문, 사회 분야 한국 도서의 중국어 번역·출판에 주목했다. 논문의 2장에서는 1980년대부터 지금까지 중국에서 출판된 한국학 관련 한국 인문, 사회 도서의 중국어 번역·출판의 발전 맥락을 통시적으로 고찰해 보았고 3장에서는 현 단계의현황과 문제점을 짚어보았으며 4장에서는 한국 인문, 사회 도서의 번역·출판을 보다 활발하게진행하기 위한 몇 가지 발전 방안을 제시해 보았다.
