This study aims at exploring the understanding for the meaning of spirituality and the nature of spiritual experience that the coaching experts meet in the field or everyday life as well as the unique experience and value of spirituality due to the use of spirituality in coaching. Using a snowball sampling colleague nomination method, we selected the participants as the subject of this research by asking national coaching experts to recommend the best coaches they have thought. After the top eight people holding the possibility for interview among 57 coaches nominated once at least were selected as the research participants. This is the first research about the spirituality of the coaches in the situation that there has nearly been no research about the spirituality of the coaches in domestic as well as overseas. The coaches who are coaching the CEO, corporate executives and managers also need spirituality. Therefore, this study strongly concentrates the psychological and internal spirituality of the coaching experts in keeping pace with this demand of the time. According to the result of this study, coaches regarded spirituality as three dimensions such as inner life, calling and connectedness which was suggested at the previous research. 이 연구의 목적은 코칭전문가들이 코칭 현장 또는 일상의 삶 속에서 겪는 영성의 의미 및 영적 경험의 본질을 이해함과 동시에, 코칭에서 영성의 활용으로 인한 고유한 경험과 가치를 탐색하려는 것이다. 연구대상 참여자 선정은 눈덩이표집-동료지명 방법을 사용하여 국내 코치 전문가들에게 그들이 생각하는 최고의 코치를 추천하게 하였다. 한 번이라도 거명된 57명의 코치들 가운데 인터뷰가 가능한 최상위 8명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 실시하였다. 이 연구에서는 코칭전문가들이 영성을 어떻게 정의하는지, 코칭 현장에서 어떻게 활용되는지를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 내면 세계(inner life)의 중요성, 코치로서의 소명의식(calling), 다양한 존재의 상호 연결성(connectedness/membership)을 영성과 관련된 요소로 인식하였으며, 이런한 관점들은 질문을 통해 코칭에서 적용되고 있었다. 이 연구의 시사점은 국내의 탁월한 코치로 인정되는 코치들이 공통적으로 영성(spirituality at work)에 대해 자각하고 있으며, 코치로서의 정체성에 영향을 주고 있다는 것이다.
