- This paper contains the experimental results on the flexural strengthening effects of the RC beams strengthened by the NSM Method with FRP Plate. A total of four beams was produced and tested to understand the flexural strengthening effects for test variables. Test variables were the shape and the amount of strengthening material. As the results of this study, Compared with non-reinforced specimen, the reinforced specimens showed that the structural performance of the reinforced specimens is higher than that of the non-reinforced specimen about 16.7%, and increases 8.3%~20.0% and 33.3%~52.7% for yielding strength and ultimate strength respectively. Also, The analytical values based on the standard equation(ACI 440.2R-08) corresponds to closely the experimental values.
