This study attempted to examine the effects of negative emotional experience on anger level of late elementary students. Further, based on previous studies that negative emotional experience is highly related to negative emotional avoidance, this study verified the effects of negative emotional experience on the anger in the mediation of negative emotional avoidance. The data of this study collected 375 6th grade students from 12 elementary school in Seoul. The results revealed that negative emotional experience effected significantly on anger level in the mediation of negative emotional avoidance. This results imply that elementary school need to seek methods for reducing student's negative emotional experience while improving student's negative emotional acceptance.

본 연구는 부정정서 경험이 크게 증가하는 초등학교 고학년 학생을 대상으로 부정정서 경험이 분노수준에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 이루어졌다. 나아가 선행연구에서 부정정서 경험과 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타난 부정정서 회피를 매개로 부정정서 경험이 분노수준에 영향을 미친다는 모형을 설정하여 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울특별시 7개 지역교육청 관내 12개 초등학교의 6학년 학생 375명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 연구모형을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 부정정서 경험은 분노수준에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 동시에 부정정서 회피를 매개로 간접적인 영향도 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 초등학교에서 학생의 부정정서 경험을 줄이는 동시에 학생의 부정정서 수용을 높일 방안을 모색할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
