- In this thesis, I would like to roughly discuss the ways how Korean authors crystallize subjects of nobles in 2000s by examining the nobles of Hyeyoung Pyeon, Joonghyeuk Kim and Sagwa Kim. As the capital power have made display of their influence on Korean society and expanded boundlessly since the IMF, the novels in 2000s have concentrated on reproducing small and needy people. In describing these vulnerable people, those three authors figure the subjects of their nobles differently with each other. First, Hyeyoung Pyeon builds her characters who fall into the gravity of capital power and have no choice but to constantly strive only after keeping animallike life. In contrast, portraying people who get away from that gravity and enjoy private bits, Joonghyeok Kim creates a kind of ethics of ‘difference’ and ‘play’. Lastly, Sagwa Kim embodies an ethics of ‘anger’ by making his characters explode their angry and subversive desire as much as they like to destroy the boundaries build by capital power and make everything ruined. Likewise, the people described in the nobles of those authors during ‘this time’ lie on another. In this thesis, I would like to take a view of the coordinates where subjects of the nobles of these three authors are located.

- 본 논문에서는 편혜영·김중혁·김사과의 소설을 통해, 2000년대 소설에 나타나는 주체의 형상화 방식을 세 가지로 구분하여 논의하고자 한다. IMF 이후 한국사회에서 자본-권력의 위세가 무한히 확장되는 가운데, 2000년대 소설들은 왜소하고 빈곤한 주체들, 이를테면 백수나 실업자, 아르바이트생, 고시생 등을 재현하는 데 주력해왔다. 이렇듯 상징체계의 바깥으로 내몰린 존재들에 주목함으로써, ‘지금-우리’가 이 세계 내에서 어떠한 자리를 배당받고 있고 또 배당 받아야 하는지를 확인하고자 했던 것이다. 이러한 불안한 주체들을 형상화하는 데 있어서 편혜영, 김중혁, 김사과는 각각 서로 다른 방식으로 주체의 형상을 재현한다. 먼저, 편혜영은 자본과 권력의 중력 속으로 빨려 들어가 오로지 동물적인 삶을 유지하는 데 급급할 수밖에 없는 ‘기식자’를 그려낸다. 그에 반해 김중혁은 보편주의의 폭력으로부터 벗어나 사적인 비트를 향유하고 즐기는 자를 그려냄으로써 ‘차이’와 ‘유희’의 윤리를 창안해낸다. 마지막으로 김사과는 자본-권력 이 설정한 경계를 와해시키면서 동시에 모든 것을 폐허로 만들어 버리겠다는 전복적 욕망을 마음껏 분출하면서 ‘분노’의 윤리를 체현하기도 한다. 세 소설에서 나타난 바와 같이, ‘지금-현재’의 우리 소설들은 인간 주체들이 자본-권력으로 운용되는 이 세계를 어떠한 방식으로 대응하는지를 다양한 방식으로 재현해내고 있다.

- 한국문예창작학회(The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing)는 한국 문학의 새 지평을 열기 위해 문예창작 이론과 문예교육 이론을 연구 계발하여 문 예창작의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 조직한 학술단체입니다. 전국 대학과 대학원 문예창작 관련학과의 전·현직 전임교수·겸임(초빙)교수· 강 사·대학원 재학 이상자 및 문예창작인들이 회원으로 활동하고 있습니다. 학회의 목적에 적극적으로 동의하는 문학 관련 단체나 문학창작 동호인도 준회원으로 참 여하고 있습니다. 연 2회 학회지를 발간해 학문적 기반을 닦고 있으며, 정기적으로 학술 세미나 와 해외 문학 심포지엄 등 학술 발표회를 개최하여 학문적 교류와 토론의 장을 넓히고 있습니다. 한편으로, 문예창작 캠프·문학기행 등의 창작교육 활동과 창작 학습 행사를 수 시로 진행하면서, 창작·창작이론·창작교육에 관한 활동의 범위를 넓히고 있습니다. 별도로, 문예창작 교육을 받은 문예창작학도들의 진로 개발을 위해 '문예교육지도 교사 자격 시험'도 운영하고 있습니다. The Society of Korean Literary Creative Writing is a pure academic association for the literary cretive writing, and was organized on November 11, 2001 for the purpose of presenting the new direction of literary creative writing by studying all the methods to activate and develop the theories of literary creative writing and its education. Our society is composed of professors or ex-professors, some invited professor, lecturers, graduate students of the dept. of literary creative writing as regular members, and the persons interested in our program as associative members. Our society holds an annual academic meeting-- literary symposium, literary creative writing seminar-- and publishes the journal of our society and our members' anthology of literary works. Added to these, our society has already started a new project to open the way for our literary juniors by providing them with a certificate as a leader and holding a forum for literary creative writing.
