Brazil is basically inequal society. Since its foundation, the polarization of wealth and power has become more serious. Despite of social and economic progress, Brazil is still suffering from high level income inequality. This disparity makes new classification of social stratum of the ruling and the ruled. According to sociologists, the extreme income inequality should be a potential source of social instability. Brazil, however, has never encountered serious social riots or conflicts originated from the inequality. For Brazilians, they have great tendency to accept the situation whatever it is. As Power Distance Index(PDI) says, Brazilians are rather obedient and willingly accept inequal power distribution. But this Index, though it shows Brazilians' national character, does not provide any explanation why they have it and what is the difference form other countries that show same or similar PDI. In this paper, I highlight there exists inequality premise in Brazilians' mind. This means that they face the outside on the premise of inequality. This differs Brazil from other countries where have the premise of equality or of liberty. The Brazilian view based on the premise of inequality had formed by "voluntary submission" in ther course of social evolution. New interpretation of Brazilian PDI with the premise of inequality provides correct insight to read high scored Uncertainty Avoid Index. Brazilians' peculiar shopping culture is also explainable as a compensation conduct of solving social inequality,

Segundo o famoso estudo de Hofstede, o Brasil é um dos países mais hierárquicos e toleram desigualdade de distribuição do poder mostrando alto nível de Power Distance Index(PDI). Entretanto, o estudo de Hofestede não explicou quais são razões ou quais serão implicações desse índice. Além disso, interpretações de Hofstede mostram erros de generalização. Segundo seu estudo, o mesmo índice deve ter a mesma interpretação independentemente de contextos particulares de cada país. A fim de interpretar os índices de dimensões culturais corretamente, é obrigatório examinar e seguir a pista da evolução da socieade em questão. Isso nos ajudará a compreender por que o Brasil e a Coreia são difrentes um dos outros embora tenham igualmente alto nível de PDI. De acordo com os sociólogos, o fosso entre ricos e pobres do Brasil pode ser um fator potencial que ameace a estabilidade social levando-o a um colapso total. Contudo, têm sido raramente observados distúrbios sociais provocados por esse motivo. Nossa pesquisa apresenta “aceitabilidade de desigulidade” dos brasileiros como uma das principais razões de que não tem tido tais distúrbios sociais. Ao longo da formação do país, os brasileiros vêm aceitando desigualdade e hierarquia, por causa das religiões e da estrutura colonial, como uma regra de natureza que não podem vencer. Essa atitude mental faz os brasileiros terem uma grande tendência de aceitar situações atuais mesmo que sejam desiguais.
