The purpose of this study was to examine the relation between maternal and paternal rearing attitude recognized by students in high school, on smart phone addiction and its effect on anxiety and depression. And to prove if parents rearing attitude and smart phone addiction is related to anxiety and depression. For this study the research showed the difference of paternal and maternal rearing attitudes, how often do the different gender use smart phones and their level of addiction. As a result the study shows that high school children perceive the rearing attitude in a different way, the level of addiction depends on gender. That the male high school students has higher possibility in addiction to smart phones than that of female high school students. The results shows that 27.5 % of high school students addicted to smart phones is lower compared to the 29.2% of teen agers addicted nationwide. Thus it shows that the relationship of the variables rearing attitude and smart phone addiction are significantly related. That anxiety and depression is highly affected by the difference in maternal and paternal rearing attitude and smart phone addiction.

본 연구는 고등학생 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육태도, 불안과 우울, 스마트폰 중독과의 관계를 살펴보고, 부모의 양육태도와 스마트폰 중독의 관계를 불안과 우울이 매개하는지 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 부모의 양육태도 차이와 남녀고등학생의 스마트폰 사용 수준에 대한 집단간 차이, 그리고 고등학생의 스마트폰 중독 수준을 살펴보았다. 연구결과 고등학생 자녀는 부모의 양육태도를 다르게 받아들이는 것으로 나타났으며, 남녀고등학생의 스마트폰 사용 수준 또한 성별에 따라 차이가 있었다. 특히 남학생이 여학생보다 스마트폰 중독 위험요인이 더 높게 나타났으며, 고등학생의 스마트폰 중독율은 27.5%로 청소년 스마트폰 중독률 전국 평균 29.2%보다 약간 낮은 스마트폰 중독률을 나타내고 있었다. 더불어 각 변인간의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 각 변인이 모두 통계적으로 유의미하게 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 양육태도와 스마트폰 중독에 대해 불안과 우울이 두 변인 사이를 매개하는지 검증한 결과 두 변인 모두 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
