A Case Study on the Human Resource Management of Golf Course Caddie: Focused on S corporation As the golf industry in South Korea is growing fast, a study on a golf caddie who is a representative member of an organization has been strongly suggested in that the human resource management in the golf industry is directly related to business performance. The caddie provides services to the customers who visited a golf course, and also the customers spend a lot of time with the caddie. So the image of the caddie may influence the impression of the golf course. In addition the caddie's competence is reflected in the competitiveness of the golf course. In this regard to improve the golf course service quality, there is a need to create the caddie service as securing, educating and managing the caddie. Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze the case of human resource management strategies in golf courses caddie focused on S corporation. S corporation caddie of 11 in-depth interviews are conducted. Through these interviews this study derives the problems and suggests some improvements regarding the human resource management of golf course caddie.

우리나라의 골프산업이 급성장하고 있으며, 기업 내 인적자원 관리가 경영성과와 직결되는 골프산업에 있어서 골 프장의 대표적 조직 구성원인 캐디에 대한 연구 필요성이 강력하게 제기되고 있다. 골프장을 찾아오는 고객이 가 장 오랜 시간을 함께하고, 골프장 서비스를 직접적으로 제공하는 역할을 하는 것이 캐디라는 점을 고려해볼 때, 캐디에 대한 인상이 곧 골프장의 인상이 될 수 있으며, 캐디의 역량과 능력이 곧 골프장의 경쟁력에 반영된다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 골프장 서비스 품질 향상을 위한 캐디 서비스를 창출하기 위해 우수한 캐디를 확보, 교육, 관 리하는 인적자원관리의 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라의 대표적인 골프장 운영 기업인 S사 를 중심으로 골프장 캐디의 인적자원관리 전략에 대한 사례를 분석하고, S사 캐디 11명의 심층 면담을 통해 캐디 의 인적자원관리의 문제점을 도출하고 해결방안을 제시하였다.
