This study is looking at the background and the process of building a sustainable management activities system of A corporation, quasi-governmental agency, and presents the initiative to successfully establish the sustainable management activities system. The social requests, such as the social responsibility, environmental protection, etc., increase the need of sustainable management activities system for a quasi-governmental agency. In recent situation, many quasi-government agencies are to build a sustainable management activities system. This study looks at the decisions of managers may be faced with practical through a case of A corporation has successfully built a sustainable management activities system. The main topics for evaluation are eight sectors of sustainable business procedure and seven sectors of sustainable business performance. On the other hand, this study proposes the following future initiatives for the successful establishment of sustainable management activities system. First, complete type of a mine damage prevention project should be promoted in order to acquire mine damage prevention business. Second, the Korean regional development model should be researched and indigenous regional development industry should be promoted to strengthen the participation of local communities. Third, we need to develop a leading-type mine damage management techniques for mutual growth and cooperation. Fourth, we need to expand into the global mine damage management market for sustainable development. Finally, a sustainable infrastructure must be expanded in response to customer's diverse needs and the accessibility to the information.

본 연구는 준정부기관인 A공단을 대상으로 지속가능경영시스템을 구축한 배경 및 과정을 살펴보고 준정부기관이 지속가능경영시스템을 성공적으로 운영하기 위한 추진과제를 제시하였다. 최근의 사회적책임, 환경보존 등의 사회적 요구는 준정부기관도 선진화된 지속가능경영의 필요성을 증가시키고 있다. 이에 최근의 많은 준정부기관들이 경영환경에 맞는 지속가능경영시스템을 구축하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지속가능경영시스템을 성공적으로 구축한 A공단의 사례를 통해 실무적으로 직면할 수 있는 경영자의 의사결정사항에 대해 살펴보았다. A공단의 경영자가 지속가능경영시스템을 구축하면서 평가했던 주요한 사항들은 8부문의 지속가능경영프로세스와 7부문의 지속가능경영성과이다. 한편, 본 연구에서는 지속가능경영시스템의 성공적인 운영을 위해 다음과 같은 향후 추진과제를 제안하였다. 첫째, 광해방지사업의 안정적 확보를 위해 완결형 광해방지사업을 추진해야 한다. 둘째, 한국형 지역진흥모델을 연구개발하고 지역사회의 참여를 강화하고자 자생적 지역진흥산업을 추진해야 한다. 셋째, 동반성장 및 상생협력을 위해 선도형 광해관리기술을 개발해야 한다. 넷째, 지속가능개발을 위해 글로벌 광해관리시장으로 진출해야 한다. 마지막으로 고객의 다양하고 강화된 요구에 대응하고 정보에 대한 접근성을 강화하기 위해 지속가능한 인프라를 확충해야 한다.
