- The educational curriculums for training Home economics teachers in colleages of education across Korea have changes steadily since 1990's. The study attempts to propose a new model home economics educational based on the interdisciplinary pedagogy. The model includes general educational theories and practices, interdisciplinary learning and the speciality in Home Economics teacher education program. It is improve and excel the quality of general education and secondary schooling in disciplinary instruction and curriculum both. Finally, the study promotes further studies and comprehensive research on the interdisciplinary education and the study courses better home economics teacher education in a college of education.

- 본 학회는 처음 실과 교과서에 참여한 인사를 중심으로 1989년 실과 교육 연구회로 발족하였다가 1990년에 전국 규모의 회원을 갖고 학회 활동을 본격적으로 시작하였다. 본 학회는 한국의 실과 교육의 학문적 연구 및 현장 교육의 문제를 개선하는데 기여할 목적으로 설립되었고, 현재는 전국의 관련대학의 교수와 현장 교사가 참여하여 실과의 학문적 기초를 마련하는데 기여하고 있고, 현장의 문제해결에도 기여하면서 발전하고 있다.
