This paper interpreted "Gasiri", which is one of the most famous koryo-sokyo, comparing it to the tradition of Korean classical poetry. I analyzed the structural and rhythmical features of the poem, which were found in other Korean classical poems in common. I also considered the context of the Korean classical poems in connection with rituality and performance. The poetic structure of "deficiency and pray", which is typical in Korean classical poetry, influenced "Gasiri". The parallelism of the four verse lines is also embedded in it. "Gasiri" reflected the structural and emotional traditions of Korean classical poetry in its compact form and achieved the formal beauty of simplicity. The structural and rhythmical features of the Korean classical poetry, which this paper analyzed were formed in the context of rituality and performance. The rituality was associated with the structure of "deficiency and pray", and the performance yielded the rhythmical features of the Korean classical poetry, based on the orality and parallelism. "Gasiri" realized the poetic traditions of Korean classical poetry, founded on the context of rituality and performance.

본고에서는 高麗俗謠 중 가장 널리 알려진 작품 중 하나인 <가시리>의 문학적 특성을 한국시가의 전통에 비추어 분석하였다. 고대가요, 향가, 고려가요로 이어 지는 한국시가의 전통 내에서 <가시리>가 공유하는 구조적․律的 특성들에 대해 분석하고, 이러한 특성들이 발현될 수 있었던 외적 맥락으로서 儀式性․演行性 을 고찰하였다. 한국시가는 ‘결핍과 기원’의 내용을 詩化하는 경우가 많은데, <가시리>는 이러 한 한국시가의 전통을 반영한다. 특히 <가시리>는 군더더기 없는 짧은 시형 속에 한국시가의 구조적․정서적 전통을 녹임으로써 간결하면서도 완결된 형식미를 드 러내었다. 또한 이 작품은 한국시가의 전형적인 4행구조를 취하며 동시에 중층적 인 병렬 형식을 갖춤으로써, 리듬면에서도 전통에 기반한 미학을 구현하였다. 위에서 언급한 한국시가의 특성은 儀式性․演行性이라는 한국시가의 외적 맥 락 속에서 형성된 것으로 볼 수 있다. 제의성과 닿아 있는 의식성은 ‘결핍과 기원’ 이라는 한국시가의 구조와 관련되어 있고, 의식성에 내포되어 있는 연행성은 한국 시가에 담긴 ‘구조의 리듬’과 연관되어 있다. 이렇듯 의식성과 연행성의 맥락 속에 서 한국시가의 전통은 형성되었고, 그러한 전통을 <가시리>는 잘 구현해 내었다.
